What really is Love?

For those who know me, know i'm a total bollywood fanatic. I wish life to be like a movie at times, and though i will say i'm not like Nupur, whose waiting for her Raj to come and sweep her off her feet, I do believe that God has made Someone for Everyone! But in this day and age, hasn't love become superficial to some extent? Everyone says I love you, to their friends as part of every day language.The acronym ILY is used for so much more than saying I love you in slang at school (Well, Atleast here in Australia, it is)So then what really is love? Does saying I love you still have the same sentimental value as it may have back in the day?

Well, TBH, I am really not sure as to what is love. I may say I'm in love with this guy, but do I really mean it? I guess not. Love is something which we may not understand at this age, and I agree with that completely. But well, my concept on love is something like this.
In Love, there are compromises, there's trust, there's friendship, there's understanding, there's emotional bonding, and well,to an extent, even a bit of physical intimacy.
Since I was curious, i asked my friend what it is like to be in a relationship? Mind you, she's my age. She said, it's FUN. Now, is love linked to being FUN? Is that what we have degraded the diving feeling to? I asked her, what do you mean by fun exactly? I mean, being in love isn't a joke. It's not something we make fun of.
I am personally of the opinion that I would never get into a relationship with someone, just for the heck of it. The meaning of I love you for me is different, unlike a few, who just keep 2-3 boyfriends, just cause it's cool. I believe one can fall in love only once. It isn't something one can keep changing as days pass. And I am really against saying I love you to someone when I clearly don't mean it. Yeah, saying ILY to friends is a different issue. Cause friendship is a form of love too. But the love between two opposite genders is precious, and shouldn't be degraded by saying ILY to any tom, dick and Harry.

So at the end of it, I believe in love, but at the same time, I do not believe in fantasies and miracles. Love is extra ordinary, but it is real. It isn't a fantasy. It happens to everyone, but we just need to wait for it while it comes to us. So, well, yeah, I wouldn't say ILY to someone unless I really mean it. And that day is yet to come😆

well starting with what i feel abt love...i dont find my life so filmy coz after all films r always inspired by real stories(atleast bollywood films😆),and there r many situations when we have to tackle them using our brain n heart together...we can't just sit and ask our heart "what to do?"

neither we can close our eyes and do what SRK said in K3G...😆 nor we can go to a temple n ask god like AMITji...😆

well i m not bashing SRK coz i m also a big fan of him,but the thing is dat there is a huge difference between films,fiction n reality...

but still evryone has a different opinion on this and i respest their POVs..😊

according to me i m also not waiting for my RAJ,coz according to me evrything has been destined already n we just have to strive to get it...and i dun really identify with the word "RAJ"...ofcourse i m a DDLJ-RAJ-SIMRAN fan but talking abt "RAJ" sometimes seems childish...

but i agree almost 99% of ppl r waiting for their MR. or MISS perfect...and they shud..after all we need someone to spend our life with...😳

about love,hmmm well i dun really know what it is...but its also true that it exists...we do love our parents and our family members but the LOVE for someone else is entirely different thing...😳it changes our whole life...i dun knw much abt it but still i believe that LOVE surely exists....😳

and about "I LOVE U",well i agree...this sentence has lost its real sense & meaning...today we use this word so often just like we say "hi' and "bye"😆

but what to do yaar,we r a part of this generation and we r using "ILU" just like others...

but personlly i feel "ILU" shud be used for our beloved ones only...well we can't file a petition or bill for this...😆😆

Well honestly
somewhere i do feel that the basic essence of love is lost in the present day world. As u've stated in the present day situation every minute we hear I Love You ...from a frnd to another frnd etc. Its not as it was before where these 3 words meant a lot for some people.
Today if a guy/girl says I Love to thier partner, weeks later we see the same person saying exactly same things to some different person. Though thats not the case with each one of us. We have some who still believe in Love and have maintained that they shall share this spl bond with just one person.

So i would say in all ...... Some believe it some dont. Some live with it and some just pass by. Its Life for some and and fun for others. Its a lifetime commitment for some and Daily affair for others.

but you're so right,... we can't go close our eyes and wish for something to happen, we can't go to the temple and get a sign.. no wind will blow, no violins will ring.. and LOVE does exist.. its out their, we've seen it in our friends, family members, our own parents... and we do live in a generation where saying ilove you. is like saying hi and bye... but the thing im trying to see does our hearrt still flutter when someone says I LOVE YOU to us?

yess soni...our heart will surely flutter...coz I LOVE U is a word which can change our whole world in an instant!evry girl waits to listen ILU from her Mr.perfect!

even after listening it from our freinds n family for soo many times,we want to hear it atleast for once from dat unknown ,unseen person who will enter our life and will be with us for the rest of the life...its meaning won't change in cuming years...😳it still has that warmth,untouched,pure feeling that is enough to flutter one's heart!❤️

no need to say sorry shruti..i agree even i havent experienced it..but the thing is dat nowadays teenagers use the word "love" to satisfy their wrong intentions and we get a wrong impact of love on us...

and ys if one hasn't experienced it then he/she can only guess abt it....thats what we do...but still i believe that love surely exists and god has made this pure emotion for our well being and its the humans who r misusing this emotion...😊

i agree......now adays people assosiate lust,crushes,attraction etc to be love....where love is way above it......however i really hope everyone on the forum finds love!!!
