i mean Sammie was there but they behaved as if he did'nt exist and poor uday bhaiyya was so controlling ....

SG always reminded me of Raj Simran - and today I was really apprehensive as to how the DDLJ ripoff is going to play out, because SRK-Kajol are THE combo of Bollywood.

It was a ripoff - but tweaked just a little. And it rocked! The tweaks were just right to completely incorporate Samrat's and Gunjan's characters - how G stopped just as she reached S and didn't hug him, instead asked so uncertainly "Samrat, tum hi ho na?" So totally Gunjan! And the way he doesn't say a word in reply but just takes her hand to touch him ... aahhhhh!!!!

Before that, the part where she stops and claps her hands over her ears - could feel her despair, her anxiety, her love. Sanaya rocked that scene - and that was a tough one because it was a carbon copy of Kajol. But the emotions were just slightly different, and ... WOW!!!

Before that, the pillar scene - what's with SG and pillars - they seem to be the best prop for SG. All their pillar scenes have been wow and this one was no exception. Loved the way she started to pass him determined not to look at him, and loved the way he blew on her hair. His expressions were perfect in this - you could feel the love. And the dialogue that followed - so much of love and pure regret in his voice when he said - why didn't I realise earlier, we've wasted so much time when we could have been with each other. I've always been slightly critical of Mohit's dialogue delivery, but this was perfect - the emotion, the expression, everything.

DDLJ is one of my all time favourites - I've watched it a thousand times, and will watch it again - but hell, if they're going to replay my favourite scenes with this magical couple - I'll watch these a thousand times too!!!
