Chuck bass from Gossip girl! If you are a girl then u just cannot resist this guy.. he hits every demographic.. old, young, married, single.. He is wonderfully potrayed by Ed westick in gossip girl.. Chuck can be a devil, best friend, sweet brother, and most of all the most charming guy in the world. He dresses to kill.. and his dressing sense is very classy and very different from ur average joe guy who doesnt even take time to dress. He carries his heart on his sleave and is the biggest flirt on this planet..He is witty, clever and an opportunist. He has a dark side and a very romantic side too. He is a guy who other guyz are scared of .. cauz they can lose their girl to him anytime.. He is the hottest and the greatest.. He rocks..

It was that scene where Rose threw away the diamond necklace in the sea.... a thing of such importance to others was so unimportant to her.....
seriously yaar I mean each n every scene of titanic is just so mesemerizing. No stretching no useless dialouges........just pure
love..............And yes the scene in which rose throws the diamond necklace is truely captivating...makes you realise that even the most
valuable of things in the world lose their value if your love is not with you...
@Rinky -nice topic..!!
My favs are usually not limited to just one...But there are a few fav characters..
First wud be Mr Darcy & Elizabeth from Pride & Prejuduce (the actual Jane austen novel, not the filmy interpretation by Gurinder Chhada..definitely not the Varun n Esha of MJHT 🤢 )
Mr Darcy came across as an arrogant wealthy & extremely rude man and Elizabeth being smart lively and headstrong, dint care 2 bit about him..Then Elizabeth realises that Mr Darcy is actually a very caring man, completely misunderstood and madly in love with her... 😊

Yeah divya, Pride and Prejudice is also one of my favourite novels.. especially the character Darcy, I think Mayank has been influenced a lot by that character.. its just something seems to be missing these days...U know I really liked Darcy-Elizabeth convos, how witty Elizabeth's replies were in comparison to darcy's snobbery... I really liked the scene where she turned him down for the first time.....u know BBC had a PnP series, that was really good.... as for MJHT's Play.....least said the better.
Rinky..I absolutely loved the BBC series, it was awesome..I watched it for nearly six hrs on u tube..it was truly wonderful...!!! I agree that Mayank's character has traces of Darcy (is that y i like him sooo much..n continue to like him?).

In the movies, there is this character than Keanu Reeves plays in A walk in the clouds, (which also has been trashily remade as Dhai akshar prem ke)..I have seen the movie only once when I was very young, but the character struck me as an ideal prince charming. Its been a long time but the impression created has stayed on

hey i didn't see this movie..now that u mention, I will definitely...

Third, is Ajay Devgan as Vanraj in Hum dil de chuke sanam...The way I disliked him when he entered cos Aish & Salman, and since I was rooting for them, I cudnt take to him easily. The way the character was developed, however was wonderful..The perfect Gentleman who falls in love with his wife. He is hurt to know his wife loves someone else, but stands for what is right and tries to reunite her with her lover, the understanding, compassionate, intense man. Like they say good things happen to good people so his wife ends up falling in love with them...By the end of the movie I was in love with Vanraj

U know the inspiraton of this movie, is from an autobiographical bengali novel-"Nohonyotey' (difficult to pronounce) and a french novel.."LA nuit Bengali".. they tell the same story but with two different perspective....

Oh Is that the case? I had no idea..I still love AD's depiction of the character....sorry I wrote too much..but i loved the topic..

my dear u wrote less....

Rinky.. I remember reading the book during college days while I had exams, I just kept reading the book, it was such a marvel...n yes I love both Rhett Butler & Scarlet O'Hara..she does love with a certain passion doesn't she? It really depresses me when the protagonists do not end up together..I think its the silly romantic in me 😊 but I always like em to end up together..😊

Besides the characters of MJHT I like William Dobbin from Vanity Fair.
Dobbin's romance revolves around Amelia Sedley, one of the
protagonists. I liked his character the most because he portrays
what defines love for me.

Well here's a quick background: Amelia was engaged to Dobbin's best
friend George. George was compelled by Becky, a cynical
protagonist, to not keep his promise of marriage with
Amelia. However, Dobbin who secretly loved Amelia, suggested to George
that he shouldn't lose Amelia just because of someone like Becky. Thus,
George and Amelia ended up marrying. Later when George died, Dobbin
cared for Amelia and her son and never stopped Amelia from obsessing
over George. The simple and sweet gestures by Dobbin never caught
Amelia's eyes until Amelia found out about how George was convinced by
Dobbin to marry her. Finally Dobbin and Amelia end up marrying.

I don't know why but Dobbin for me stood out in this novel. He was very
genuine towards his feelings, her feelings, he just waited for her, he
never compelled her or tricked her. He could have asked George to marry
Becky instead of Amelia, but no he did the opposite --- he didn't want
her or his friend to be hurt. Even though Dobbin's character is bit unrealistic, because
human nature is dark, destructive, and selfish, but love is beautiful,
heart warming, and selfless. Love is sacrifice for that special one,
could be ur sister, mom, dad, boyfriend, husband, whoever. Dobbin
did exactly that, he sacrificed his feelings to see the one he loved
happy, his friend and his love.

There are so many other fictional characters that have their own strengths and weakness. For me in Bollywood movies Geet from Jab We Met (even though I dislike kareena so much!, no offense to any1), in MJHT Nupur (I love Rati--- sorry going off topic a bit), in Hollywood movies Charlotte
(the spider in the movie) from Charlotte's web. All three of these
characters share a similarity a type of inspiring quality, which is to
live to the fullest and build a positive aroma around you so that
every1 else smiles ---- there shouldn't be a place for distress or
anxiety. Geet brought harmony in Aditya's life, Nupur brought harmony
in Mayank's and Charlotte brought harmony in Wilbur's.

Ohye..I found dobbain interesting tooo...😊
Such a Gentleman..!!!
I love Geet too (thou I wasnt a gr8 kk fan myself..) . Also Nupur is such a charmer..Rati played her in a way that from the geet inspired character she brought such originality to it..anybody wud fall in love with her...😊

i even loved leonado di carpio and kate winslet as jack and rosein titanic. They were purely romantic.

Especially the scenes in which rose jumps back to the drowning ship for jack though she has been

rescued in the boat. And the last scene in which she pleads a dead jack to 'come back' I was in tears!!!

And not to forget when she after being rescued tells her name to be "Rose dowsan" that's jack surname.Loved that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sadly never seen the serial thou I've heard Rajeev became insanely popular after the show.....

Titanic- one of my teenage fantasies..I loved the love that Jack n Rose had for each other though they had spent only a few hrs with each other...
