He gets up and walks away but Nupur still persists....I loved that '15-16 janmonon ke baad' waala dialogue that he maaroed in sarcasm😆😆...... I\ .. I loved it too

Nupur uses all her nautanki tactics possible and finally gets to Mayank by using the 'are you not up to the challenge?' card and telling him that SHE proved herself by doing the project report😆....Mayank is left thoughtful. I love her expression when she walks back after that thinking ' why hasnt he reacted yet.. i hope i made the right move '

Nupur's all morose thinking that she won't be able to take part now and is fumblingly explaining this to Dia when Mayank surprises her by showing up....full on hero style entry with a 'HAI!'😆😆..... n Nupur's expression-- ' dekho dekho MAYANK SHARMA mera partner hai ' with a litlle head shake😆

After this there are these small cute moments that I really love....like the way Nupur happily grabs on to his arm and Like a little kid that proud to show its best present or 'my daddy strongest' 🤣then gets a little awkward when he looks at her hand on his arm pointedly😆....and then later her little gushy spiel of 'by god, kya entry maari tumne, Mayank' while Mayank looks on in cool bemusement...hilarious!.. I jus jus jus looove the innocence with which she says that- 'tumhara partner hai.. hai' and he walks away with 'yeh ladki tho pagal bacchi hai' expression. 🤣

.and after this the bit when she's trying to give him a pep talk before the actual auditions....n he says in typical mayank style ' kya hai' 'Agar dar lage toh yeh samajhna ki saa're log khargosh hain'🤣'Tumhe darr lage tho music pe hilte rehana.. aise '..'aur angry young man ka look mat dena'... on and on with her unsolicited advice 🤣 🤣....Mayank's WTF expression in response to this cracks me up to this day....haha ...She assumes Mayank wouldnt know ABC of dancing and this wud be her turn to boss around like he does for the PROJECT 😆 😆

And once the audition finally begins.....Nupur's nautanki dance🤣...CLASSIC STUFF, man! I loooooooooved it from the day I first saw it....that mix of Madhuri, 'ek do teen' and 'chane ke khet mein' steps🤣 Nupur was so adorable! lol .
..Perfect description Anu.. n the namaskaram/ pranam she does in the begining 😆 ... n when M stops her from 'parading her morena talents'😆 .. she goes like.. arre maine kaha tha na main sabhal loongi 🤣 🤣 🤣
And finally....that magical part in the very end.....when Mayank lifts her up😍...I loved how they used the MJHT piano instrumental tune in that exact moment....and the chemistry was just wow😍😍😍 I jus love it when he raises his eyebrows ' arre itne advices de rahi thi.. hilo/ khargosh etc etc.. ab kya hua... khoob dancing ho gayee' expression 😉

Down to Mayank's 'good girl'😆😆...I was literally ROFL too when she said, 'dance nahin aata toh bas khade hokar music par hilte rehna.....aise, AISE'🤣

yeah MJHT instrumental sounded d best there till date coz it gave the effect needed at d rite time 😍😍😍

n then end mein he raises his eyebrows holding her in d same position n she's all dumbstruck at d fact that he could dance so well nice scene too 😳 *sigh* I know yaar😍 It was such a cute moment!

Anuji, another fab, fab scene......sigh. Like you said, those were the days. I absolutely adored this scene. There were so many super cute bits in the scene, starting from where N catches hold of M's arm so confidently, as though she's known him for ages, and the way he glares pointedly, as if to say, "Na jaan na pehchaan, ainwayee....".Awww I know yaar....that is what I loved about them to begin with...N's irreverence and M alternating b/w irritation and amusement at that irreverence😆😆 Lol. And Nupur's nautanki about the khargosh and all while she's giving him those super competent instructions is so endearing. M is just looking bemused with a WTH expression. His expression seems to say, " What planet is she from ? Shouldn't creatures like these be INSTITUTIONALIZED, for Gawd's sake ?" He looked totally non-plussed, and she was just going on, and on, and on. LMAO...so trueeee! THAT was MN as I knew and loved them....the way Nupur would just go on and on as if she's the resident expert on everything and Mayank would be watching her with a pained/is she for REAL? kind of expression😆😆.....I was watching JWM a couple days ago again....and *sigh* MN were SO the Aditya-Geet of TV😍....one of the reasons why I fell in love with them.....cuz Geet was so irreverant too...totally in love with herself and confident in her knowledge about everything....lol....while Aditya just watched all this either in bemusement or rolling his eyes at her😆😆

Totallyyyyy yaar! *heavy sigh*😍😍😍....MN were brilliant in that scene....that amazing chemistry was totally established in this scene....I thought it was such a brilliant touch that Nupur was looking at him in this awe-struck manner and him being Mayank just coolly raises his eyebrows and cocks his head at her as if to say, 'ab bolo?'😆😆

and after they get thru the auditions, N is all excited and waiting for praises from everyone and unlike N, M jus walks off without expecting any adulation for his performance.. *sigh* thats MAYANK SHARMA for u 😍 😍 😍Indeed! That was THE Mayank Sharma! The ORIGINAL one *sigh*😍

*sigh* Where do I start?????!! I will start with the incidents that happened prior to this scene which were instrumental in MAYANK SHARMA agreeing to become someone's dance partner! YES, THE GREAT MAYANK SHARMA who thinks extra-curricular activities like dance etc are a sheer waste of precious time is taking part in the talent parade- for the first time in the history of Axe-L college.
After the muft main chandan showdown and sincere n deliberate attempts on Nupur's part to ward off his project related phone calls 🤣 Mayank Mr Smart Sharma was SURE that the chances of Ms N Bhushan submitting the project report on time are almost zero but wait, Nupur jee submitted the project n a good one at that , completely surprising him and making him feel guilty for having misjudged her.....so Mayank goes and apologizes to her (Why god why? Why don't we have guys like this for REAL? 😭 😭 ) for having misunderstood her - like you all must have guessed, I was BOWLED by that gesture of his - such a good looking good boy (how I wished he were for real *sigh*) - no confusion, great combination 👍🏼! Nupur's little 'victory' nautanki of having made him eat his words after the apology in library was hilarious 🤣

Moving on, M discusses with CJ that he would like to do another project with N - oye hoye, Mayank's impression about Nupur has changed, he had begun to respect her now 😳 😳 (koi mujhe bataao yeh ladka itna accha kyun hai??? aakhir kyun??? Mayank jaisa ladka ek aur duniya main females anek- BAHUT NAAINSAAFI HAI 😭😭) and then comes the scene which Ananya had mentioned already - the project n talent parade one so things are more or less back to square one(if I remember well, N even refuses to do another project with him) .

Okay , this was perhaps the ONLY time during the initial days of MJHT when Dia ACTUALLY served some purpose according to me, otherwise I used to be put off by her not so flattering 'diva' dresses always and dumb bimbo, 'scheming' oooh-lala talk just like Mayank *rolls eyes Dia style*; as Dia lays a condition that Nupur cannot participate in the Talent Parade without a dance partner, our dearest Nupur sets out on the mission to find a dance partner but returns defeated. Dia is unwilling to excuse her and gives her the idea of requesting Mayank to be her dance partner (jeeti raho Dia beti, tum ne apni zindagi man EK nek kaam kiya hai aur SIRF iskeliye tumhaare 100 'diva' disaster dresses maaf) for she knew that Mayank will not agree in all probability. Nupur reluctantly gets ready to request Mayank- I remember her nautanki hesitation before approaching Mayank 😆 😆

Nupur musters courage somehow and FINALLY asks Mayank to dance with him - the expression on Mayank's face after that - PRICELESS 🤣 he was SHOCKED🤣🤣🤣 not because he did not know how to dance but because no one in Axe-L dared to ask him to be their dance partner before that (Anu jee, you see this is also a case of N REGISTERING on M's mind again). As expected, he refuses and she tries to PERSUADE him (NOT PERSIST) but when he is adamant she just expresses that she was wrong to have assumed that he was also someone who did not bother what the world thinks of him (I LOVE the way she puts up a nonchalant facade in front of him while saying that and secretly prays that he would agree somehow when she is not facing him🤣, that was CLASSIC NUPUR 😆 😆) hmm looks like our hero felt a bit pinched but he does not show it (talk about balance 😳 😳) n walks off to go about his business like he is not affected by the kinda challenge she just threw at him.........again THIS is what I mean by the realistic touch. When N is walking away after remarking , M does not say a dramatic "Ruko!" all set to go with her, instead he takes his time before deciding whether or not he wants to accept the request.......

I will write about the actual scene in another post. What I wrote above was a SENSIBLE build-up to the salsa rehearsals- every scene n encounter added to the movement of MN story but most importantly, MN were TOTALLY in character 😊
