Drunk Nupur vs. Drunk Mayank: Random analysis

So now that the creatives of this show have blessed us with showing BOTH Mayank and Nupur in their drunk avatars😆...., here's some random thoughts I had about these two avatars of them....

Drunk Nupur: Drunk Nupur was ADORABLE.....no other word for it😆....her filminess climbed up many more notches....so that instead of fighting with Mayank, she was actually happily complimenting him about his 'ghajini type body'😆....dropping QSQT references even more etc. etc......she loosened up enough to say the sweetest things she's said to Mayank yet.....'tum itne bure ho nahin jitna ban ne ki koshish karte ho'😆....'zabaan se thode kadve ho.....lekin gur se bhi meethe ho'😳😆.....And ofcourse.....the 'cute boy' bit....I wonder how Nupur would react if Mayank told her that she actually said that to him🤣......Drunk Nupur was mellow enough to not even mind or react when Mayank passed sarcastic comments about how the khaali space in her dimaag had now filled with daaru😆😆....all she did was stare back at him in THE most adorable manner and hold out her arms for him to help her up....one of the most awww worthy MN moments till date😍


Drunk Mayank: A TOTALLY different kahaani😆....Drunk Mayank turned out to be a MAHA stubborn and angry person😆😆......where DN (Drunk Nupur) was actually being nice and sweet to M, DM on the other hand was busy bossing Nupur around😆....all his focus seemed to center on Nupur and Nupur only....the only name he would chant over and over again😆....DM wanted to 'go home with Nupur! ONLY!'🤣....no third parties (e.g. Gunjan) allowed🤣.....DM wanted to circle around the auto with Nupur rather than enter it directly🤣.....He was busy yelling at Nupur constantly about how she can't do anything right as she was helping him with his shoes....bhaang only seemed to magnify M's conscientiousness even more and make him babble randomly about how he would be late for class if she didn't put his shoes in the rack😆.....DM was basically one constant yelling machine screaming in everyone's ears for the most part😆


I don't really want to count the scene where DM apologized to Nupur as being a part of his drunkeness cuz that scene was not well shot....THAT was the only bit where I found Mayank to be out of character with his head lolling about as he was saying 'dil se sorry'.....that looked pretty weird.

Anyways, coming back to DM vs DN....while there are many many differences b/w these two avatars of them......one main interesting common thing is how STUBBORN they both were in their own ways.....while drunk Nupur made quite a scene about wanting her daaru ki bottle back and then not complying when M kept begging her to stop during the Kajra Re dance😆, M on the other hand was stubborn about EVERYTHING from not sitting on Sam's bike to dragging Nupur with him into the auto to wanting PAANI when he got home😆

The main contrast that intigued me though was how mellow Nupur got in her drunk avatar.....maybe an extension of her general bubbly nature making her say nice things about Mayank....or hidden attraction coming out😉😆.....with Mayank on the other hand, the attraction/feelings of love somehow got mixed up with his general tendency to focus on his objective....which have mainly only been books and studies till now😆😆.....but when the bhaang mellowed him enough for him to acknowledge Nupur as his new favorite objective, then he was single-mindedly focussed on keeping her with him😆.....

How much I oved this post I cannot say in words... I was reading out aloud fr my roomie to hear and she was LOLing..

well as much as I like to criticise on its sensibility of letter confession.... he was hilarious..
and sidra pointed out the BOBO doll effect, when nupur wanted to eave.. he just bobbed out of the bed like a spring before he fell back 😆

I will go home with NUPUR ONLY.. was a great highlight

drunk nupz and drunk mayank! drunk nupz was flawless, drunk mayank worked inspite of its flaws!

the show lace perfection was out of thw worlld

"Maa kya mein andhar aa saktha hoon" ..i dont have to say anything mayank rocked and so did momma!!!!

Having said all that....let me come to the point i wanted to make
Drunk nupz scene was fun..and he didnt mock her the next day!

I would hate it if anybody made a joke out of mayank's drunkard act except nupz and momma

I LOVE your analysis', they're really well thought out and your bang on about everything you mentioned.
Drunk Mayank was quite cute in parts. I prefer sarky Mayu any day though. The parts that had me cringing were the 'pyaar ho gaya hai' and the sorry confession - OTT kiddish, seriously.🤢
Yeah I liked how he kept shouting and ordering her around😆😆 and that hi-five he gives her was adorable as well!

But what I LOVE LOVE more is drunk Nupur...More so because she made way for one of the most AMAZING MN episodes ever😍...*sigh* Even their background score doesn't have the same effect it had in that epi...yet . Ah well...all there's left to do is hope. lol

So now that they've given us Drunk Mayank & Nupur, no more drunk scenes pleaase! I'm wondering how the story's gonna move forward now. I mean Rose Day not giving me much to think about.
I really really hope they don't stretch Nupur's obliviousness, she's a little dim but c'mon not that dim!!

Hey..long time...i was missing your analysis..had become my daily dose for sometime...have to say you couldnt resist the DM...DM was adorable..i loved his obsession for order and discipline...highlight was untie the lace what if i get late on pretext of untying it next morning...almost reminds me of my dad....hillarious...how his confused side was dominated by his Mayankness..for the lack of a better word really...

hoping to read more from your end...the show is getting interesting..so keep analysing..

For me personally, I think MayUr totally won over this epi! It was their turn to shine, and they did!

Haha, DM was CHOOO adorable! I just wanted to go hug him! He is SUCH a stubborn boy! haha, I loved his expressions. "How can we go on the bike? DRUNK DRIVING!" hahah, that bit had me LOLing!

And the way he was calling out to Nupur from the cab... aweeh, how cuter can he get?

"NO! ONLY NUPUR!" Choooo chweet! And how he made her go around the cab.. haha. Bless.

I'd like it if we were able to see the cab ride home. =P And the way he was resting his head on her shoulder *dies drooling*

OH! And my favourite part: Him breaking all the pots! HAHAH, he's so cute yaar! MUAHZ!

The sorry thing wasnt done as well, but it was cute. Mayuu ... gosh,I cant help but fall for him!

And DN is a whole diff. story! I LOVED her to bits! Honestly, that cottage scene has to be one of my most favourite bits 'till date! Im not gonna go into much detail about that, because you all will literally kill me for babbling on so much. Haha, so I'll end it there.

Thanks, Mimi! And I really enjoyed reading your babbling as well, trust me😆😆.....I was actually dreading how they would show this avatar of Mayank's, but for the most part they managed to retain that special 'mayankness' that he has....and I'm glad about that😆

I know we've all really dreaded this avatar for so long, haina? I was also not sure what to think until I actually saw the epi for myself😆.....you've pointed out all the bits I loved! From his 'main andar aa sakta hoon, maa' to the shoelace bit...hilarious!😆😆.....I think what really went in uplifting these scenes to a LARGE extent was Arjun's acting.....his poker faced or angry drunk expressions were just too good!😆😆.....it was only that weird apology scene where he went OTT...but then the scene only was badly written to begin with.....ughhh

btw, I completely concur.....I also don't want anyone making fun of this drunk avatar of M's...but unfortunately for him, he threw his little drunk tantrums in front of EVERYONE😆.....Nupur was lucky in that it was was mainly just Mayank and the random villagers who saw that side of hers😆......abhi dekhte hain what they show with M further😉

And Amen! I also DON'T want daaru near EITHER of them ANYTIME soon! Bahuuuuuuuuuuut zyada ho jaayega! Abhi ke liye drunk hone ka quota khatam!😛😆.....now I think other characters should get a chance😉😆

LOL I don't think any of us can really predict how this is going to go from here.....except for what M's mom said....jaise eventually dosti ho gayi thi, waise hi baaki ki kahaani bhi aage badh jaayegi😆....N does give very subtle hints once in a while of feeling the awkwardness...but I think she just brushes it aside and doesn't dwell on it due to all these weird impressions she has of how she would never be able to live up to M's expectations of 'perfection'😆.....so they're gonna use her dim bulb quality to their advantage for now I guess.....I can take the stretching to a point...but I hope they creatives don't end up testing my patience eventually😆
