Producer Padama Ansari's remix music album Boom Boom, including a remix of Nazia Hassan's hit song Boom boom, has just been released. The video of its song Mile jab hum tum was shot recently. This Devang Desai-choreographed and Guru Sharma-remixed song has been sung by Akriti Kakar. The video was filmed on South Indian actress Aish Ansari. Nazia Hassan had shot to fame after Aap jaisa koi from Qurbani in 1980. She later sang all the female songs in her top-selling and trendsetting pop album Disco Deewane and also for Rati Agnihotri in the film Star, all with music by Biddu. The London-based Pakistani pop singer, who also sang in Dilwaala and Main Balwaan, succumbed to Cancer in 2000 at the age of 35. Bhangra artiste's new album
Popular bhangra artiste Ashok Mastie released the album of The Crossover recently. Ashok Mastie is a trained Hindustani Classical singer who sings traditional Punjabi folk music as well as Indipop songs. He is known to write the lyrics for most of them. Ashok Mastie's debut album Munde Vikan Ne, released more then a decade ago after which he has followed the extraordinary success of this album with bigger hits such as Masti hi masti, Yaari jaan toh pyari and others.
He has a huge fan following worldwide and has performed extensively in countries such as USA, Canada, Sharjah, Pakisthan, England, Singapore and Sri Lanka. His spirited and electrifying performance and the instant connection he builds with the audience was the reason he was christened Ashok Mastie from his original name Ashok Sachdeva.

Smritiyaan held in Mumbai
Smritiyaan held in Mumbai on November 14 witnessed a grand jugalbandi between classical maestros Dr. Kadri Gopalnath (Saxophone) and Pt. Ronu Majumdar (Flute) and also an enchanting performance on Lord Shiva - Swar Taal Yatra by Suresh Talwalkar and his group at Shanmukhananda Auditorium in Mumbai recently. Pandit Chatur Lal was the first of our tabla players to gain international fame. His legacy is maintained by the Pandit Chatur Lal Memorial Society founded in 1990, by his elder son Pt. Charanjit Chaturlal, his daughter-in-law Meeta Lal and his granddaughter Shruti Lal. Since then, the society has been organising concerts with the greatest musicians of the country.
