Hey there, LM! I finished re-reading the 40th epistle for the Nth time. I loved the update so much. And here comes my review. I'll adopt a different style now. Selecting parts throughout the whole update to sum it up.
The price of a sacrifice was one that was always abundantly rewarded in the future.
I LOVE this quote. <3 And also, it is said that love comes with a price, sacrifice. </3
God, and people said being in the eighth standard was fun. Where's it fun from? I'm swamped,
I'm in eighth currently, and Ishaani feels swamped? It's actually fun. I've come to love high school more than higher primary. <3
I don't know what kind of mechanism is this, but I'm happy that its this way.
This sure does happen with me. Not with dreams. I don't get such. But there is some mechanism in us all, right?
Piyush was just as talented and dedicated as Ranveer, but the only problem was that Ranveer beat him in everything.
Ranveer is so... <3 Perfect as always.
"Will you need me?" I ask once again, and he gives me a shy smile.
"I'll always need you."
This was wonderful. :)
"Never lose your fighting spirit, son. This will take you places."
I can attribute to Ranveer for this. Actually, everyone can. Everyone has a fighter in them.
"Never lose each other. It's very rare, what the two of you have."
Even the Principal understandsthat bond they share a bit. ;)
By the time we got to our seat, Ranveer looked like a ruffled puppy.
Aw. I love your puppy obsession with Ranveer.
I was overcome with such an absurd question that it fell away from my lips even before I had time to conceive about anything else.
This happens so many times with me. </3
Something flicked across Ranveer's eyes, something along the lines of guilt, but I didn't know why.
Why that guilt? Why should Ranveer be guilty for Ishaani dying? Because he let her die in spite of him being in existence?
"Then I hope that I die along with you. You die, I die. As simple as that," he said irritably as he tore away his eyes from me and gazed at the sky again...
..."I'd kill myself every day for letting you die in front of me," was what left my lips unconsciously, surprising us both.
Why do their answers for the same question regard to the other person differ so much? Actually I expected even Ishaani to say something similar to Ranveer. :(
"You know, I was just reading through my old diaries a few days back. And I realized that you'd made me promise the same thing to you twice. Never to save your life again. We had nearly the same conversation twice. You know, that's also a kind of a deja vu. I've had one with Mota Babuji as well. Kind of. But with you it's nearly identical," he said.
I was thinking about the same. She'She'd made him promise the first time after his hazing incident and the next one very recently. I thought that she did it wantedly. But now I get to know that she never really realised about it before. Does this have something to it?
This was our childhood fever that had now caught fire.
A magnificent end to the Book two. *clap*
Coming to the exact review now. Ranveer winning the SOTY title was unexpected as many said. But I was sure that he will be the Head Boy. You know that we girls think him to be the best of all. <3 And the competition between Piyush Sanghvi and Ranveer is actually full of zeal. No rivalry, only pure competition as you said. I loved that kind of a competition. <3
From the STOY stuff, I'm so sad that our school doesn't have that stuff. :( And you described the event very well. Kudos! Wait a minute, did the event take place the same way in our school too? And I so love that Principal! :D She told a golden lines to Ishaani.
And the terrace conversation is really well written. I loved that, too. They are.mature people now. And Ranveer at the end of this book is still my age. *blows the funky whistle in that IF emoticon* I heard that, in the next book, they'll be 17 and eighteen! Teenage hormones. *inserts the 'silly' emoticon*
Overall, a beautiful and a glorious update marking the end of Book Two. The interlude awaits me to give a review. I'll give it shortly now. :)
Love,
Effulgent
PS. No emoticons. :( Only the text. :D
