A/N: This is my first attempt in writing...Hope I don't bore you guys...

There was complete silence in the room with no one present, save for her and her book which said- "Stepping towards Parenthood".
*knock* *knock*
Her eyes fell towards the door. A smile appeared in her features as soon as she saw him.
"Ranveer...Come in..There's no need for you to knock the door...It's after all our room.." she said.
"But there are two other persons other than us Ishani", Ranveer said as he inched forward to feel the kicks of their kids.
"Are they tired?" Ranveer said with his voice concerned with his hands on Ishanii's 9-month old belly.
"I don't know...Why?"
"Did you have something for dinner?"
"No... I was waiting for you to come back from your office"
"But Ishani, you should've had you dinner by now..Wait here..Let me bring the food and we'll have it together", Ranveer said and left after making his smooth touch of his lips on her forehead.

"Here I come...Isha-" Ranveer's eyes fell near the dressing table and his eyes grew concerned and frightened seeing Ishani. He kept the plates on the table and rushed towards her.
"Sunny, what happened? Did your bag burst? Tell me.."
She nodded her head in response while she was falling unconscious. He carried her and rushed downstairs and got her into the car.
"Don't worry..We'll reach on time.." Ranveer said and made her sit properly and drove towards the hospital.
By the time they entered into the hospital, Ishani already had a lot of blood loss. The doctors then took her into the operation theatre and started with the operation while here, Ranveer's eyes became red after crying for her condition while his heart thumping faster than ever... But still,he was excited to hear the news..
Two hours later-
"Doctor..How is my wife? Is she fine??" Ranveer asked the doctor in concern who had just come out from the operation theatre.
"Congratulations Mr.Vaghela, you have become a proud daddy of two beautiful kids- a boy and a girl..All the three are doing fine.. You may go and see them now.."
Ranveer's happiness wasn't explainable. He inched forward towards the room while his eyes first fell on a sleeping Ishani, her features silent and content. The nurse, seeing his entry to the room, smiled, as she gave room for him to spend time with his family.
As he made a new step, tears of joy rolled upon his face..He went near Ishani and gave her a forehead kiss and turned towards his two little children.. He carried each one of them so carefully that they don't get disturbed in their sleep as he caressed their cheeks lovingly..He stared at them for hours together even without knowing as he was lost in their sight. Slowly, both of them opened their little pair of eyes to see their father, while Ranveer, just seeing them open their eyes, with a wide smile on his features with his eyes wet..
"Ranveer.." He turned as she called him.
She placed both of them in the right place and sat beside Ishani.
"Ishani, you have given the best gift I could ever ask for" , he said as he hugged her..
"I love you, Ranveer"
Breaking from the hug, he moved forward and placed his lips on hers and both of them kissed even without realising about their surroundings. The cries of their girl distracted them,which brought them back into reality.
He took both of them in his arms and gave it to Ishani, both of them staring at their mother quietly...
"He looks like you, Sunny"
"And she, like you Ranveer"
And thus, they entered into the new phase of their lives- PARENTHOOD.
