Meri Aashiqui Tum Se Hi episode review: Here's why Ishani and Ranveer's death scene was a FLOP, but will hike Colors TRP!

So the maha episode of Colors show Meri Aashiqui Tum Se Hi was telecast yesterday and today a major twist was revealed. Here's what we thought about the episodes that were so eagerly awaited by fans and followers of this show...
We're sure fans are heaving a sigh of relief now that they have found out that Ranveer and Ishani are not dead. This might also have angered many others, who were pakaoed with the show's weird plot, storyline and were secretly hoping to see the show end along with these two characters. With this maha episode gimmick, Colors did manage to up the interest levels especially in the last few days. Yes, they got the eyeballs we're certain of that and they managed to pull off this stunt much better than some of their competition like Kumkum Bhagya on Zee TV. The twist did have an element of shock that brought back many of their loyal audience back. But we aren't sure if they did manage to do justice to the death sequence itself. Here's what we felt about the gimmicky IshVeer death episode...
What's hot: Ranveer Vaghela of course is super hot! Shakti Arora is one reason we're sure many tolerate this done to death Ekta Kapoor show. The man has talent that shines bright in the otherwise mediocre television industry. His passionate delivery of dialogue and portrayal of RV, his moods, feelings and rage gets him a ten on ten from our side. He plays the jilted lover, who cannot move over Ishani with so much honesty that one can believe that he would do anything for his lover and love. It is his earnestness that makes you believe in the character. Ishani is beautiful and stands out amongst her TV peers. Less melodrama and make-up makes her look much superior to her small screen counterparts. And yes there is no denying that when RV and Ishani come together on screen they ooze chemistry.
What's not: Even Shakti Arora's brillaint performance cannot save a bad production value from showing on screen. So, when you see RV jump off the bridge the makers decided to extend it sooo much and add tooo much slow motion effect that ended up looking amateur. The death bluff will play on a repeat mode in my head and has left me scarred. So, Amba and Baa the warring ladies, who travel together to the accident spot in a car. Ranveer's father, the man who just cried and howled in the drawing room did not care to accompany his wife and an old lady to identify the dead bodies. He suddenly disappears from the scene. Strange, isn't it? And like in most Hindi soaps there are extras who we bet didn't deserve 50 rupees for their overacting and shoddy dialogues, it is these nobodies who make Amba and Baa realise that Ranveer and Ishani are meant to be together. And yes, the final nail on this FLOP show was how the makers tried to up curiosity by showing Amba and Baa mourn before the dead bodies. Now tell me, why would two shocked people imagine themselves crying before their kids dead bodies. A little too bizarre to my normal eyes. But then so has MATSH's idiotic story line been until now.
Verdict: Anyway we're sure despite this FLOP twist on the show, Colors will rejoice their win when the BARC report comes out over the weekend. And yes this very climax has proved that Shakti Arora and Radhika Madan are the new Mihir and Tulsi Virani of small screen. Guys we bet those who swore to never watch the show if Ishveer died will have a mini party in their drawing rooms after having cried buckets of tears.
