Chapter 54
Time for the winter 's cold to leaveHe kept Ishani 's hand in his while they were walking to the cafe. The sun was shining brightly and it were a beautiful day. One summer day which could make anyone fall in love.
He were nervous about what was waiting for him on the other side, but he were not sure about the reason for his nervousness. He hoped fervently that everything was good. He look at Ishani from the corner of his eyes and see that she is just as nervous as him that gives him some relief that he were not alone.
His eyes fell on a girl in her early twenties; she had her hair up in a rubber band and were dressed in a beautiful light pink summer dress. She were looking around nervous, when her eyes finally catches his she gives him a half smile, a smile that reminds him to much about Angela.
He looked at Ishani and whispered to her: "That 's her, Angela 's biological mother. "
Ishani took her eyes were his were and she saw perhaps the most beautiful girl she had seen. Her brown dark eyes were the same as Angela and her smile was identical to her 's daughter 's.
Ranveer bumped his shoulder to hers and said: "This is it "
Ishani nodded to his statement and both silently went towards Annaya, who stood up for politeness and was about to shake hands with him but to Annaya 's surprise he pulled her in for a short yet a sweet hug and she forwarded her hand to Ishani who shaked it.
"Ishani "
"Annaya"
Both the women's smiled at each other unsure how to approach each other, at the end Annaya said:
"Disha and Ranveer always talked a lot about you, it is nice to finally meet you "Annaya said while sitting down, Ishani and Ranveer followed her steps.
Before Ishani could answer, Ranveer said:
"You could let us know how you were doing "Annaya looked slightly uncomfortable by the statement and said:" Sorry, I guess I am not used to it .I have always been on my one "She said and looked down on her coffee cup. Ranveer looked at her understandingly:
"No worries, just know that as family we like to keep in touch with each other, "Ranveer said and Annaya looked up at him teary eyed and gave him a gentle smile, one that reached her eyes.
" I never had one , I don't think I know how to be a part of one " she said and looked at Ishani and Ranveer nervously , Ishani took hold of her hand and said :
" Well to sum it up for you , family is not easy but it is worth it " Ishani said and Annaya gave her a unsure smile. Ranveer added:
"Annaya, to let you know Mrs. Vaghela here just stole my dialouge "Ranveer said which made Annaya laugh at the adorable couple, Ishani stuck her tongue at Ranveer and said:
"Mr. attitude here stole it from my dad " Ishani said and rolled her eyes.
"Are you guys always like this?" Annaya asked them who in return gave her a confused look and said:
"like what?" both said in union and gave each other glares, Annaya smiled noticing there cute antics.
"Like tom and jerry "Annaya asked and Ishani looked down embarrassed and Ranveer scoped closer to Ishani and took his arm around Ishani and said honestly:
"Not always, but we pray that we always are like this. Because Ishani is in her cutest avatar like this "Ranveer said and Ishani looked up at him dazed and moved her face closer to his and their lips were about to meet when Annaya abruptly said:
"Guys I am still here "Ranveer and Ishani looked at her surprised, when it went up for them where they were there face turned red. After that, it was an awkward silence in the table for a while, before Annaya decided to stop it feeling guilty for ruining their moment.
"Well no doubt it is true love, when you forget about the world around "She said and gave them warm smile. Both of them looked at each other in the glory sun and gave each other a loving smile, communicating through eyes and looked back at Annaya who gave them an stunned look and said:
"I heard about people communicating through eyes, but this is the first time I am witnessing it "she said innocently which made the duo sitting in front of her to laugh.
Ranveer turned serious, took out his wall from his pocket, and took out a picture of sweet four years old smiling and laid it on the table in front of her, no words were needed. Annaya took the picture with a teary eye and hold the picture so gently as if she was afraid it will be ruined.
She caressed Angela 's face while looking at her picture, only one sound came from her mouth: "My Angela "
Ranveer and Ishani looked at her teary eyed, seeing the pain and love of a mother.
"She is an angel, she is soft spoken, kind, caring, funny, naughty , energetic and just .. Fantastic" Ranveer said, his eyes also starting watering up but he continued talking.
"Her first word were moms, everyone laughed when they heard it but not Disha she smiled proudly and said her baby girl knew that she has two moms who love her with their everything and will fight for her to their last breath " Ranveer said , his eyes blurred with emotions.
Annaya looked up at him and said: " I can never understand why you guys helped me , you did not know me and did not know my story yet you were opening up your home for me , no question ask. That was before I even asked Disha if she could adopt Angela " Annaya wondered , before Ranveer could reply Ishani did and said :
" My husband is like that , he can never not help someone in need , it would literally kill him if he had drove pass you in that winter night four years ago . He choose to walk towards the young pregnant girl who was crying outside on a bench in the cold, and I could not have been prouder of his decision " Ishani said honestly and both looked up to her teary eyed and Ishani continued : "
I might not have been there that night, but I know that moment is something you both can't forget, Ranveer become both a brother and a father figure for you Annaya, offering you shelter and his support when you had no one. " Ishani said and saw Annaya looking at Ranveer emotionally and saying :
"Thank you" before Ranveer could reply anything , Annaya stood up and hugged him . Ranveer stood there stiff, he was not one who liked to show his emotions but he knew Annaya was like that as well since they shared a similar past. He gently hugged her back and said:
" Don't worry dear , the winter 's cold have left us both and it is time we watch the flowers bloom " Ranveer said and looked at Ishani who gave him a gentle smile and he thought
Summer never felt so goodAN : I am really sorry for the late update , but been busy with my studies :( I hope you all like this chapter , and just to make it clear Ranveer is NOT Angela 's father , you will know about that by the next chapter ;)
