The episodes came after entry of Ratnakar Rao turned Mere Sai from a historical biopic to usual drama.. Just the episodes are targeted to form suspense factor rather than Babajis teachings as previous episodes had.. It is becoming entertainment show rather than a bio pic nowadays...🥱😭

1)Btw why some names of devotees are changed?

Appa patil was neighbour of bayaza ma, while ganpat was her husband🥱

2)Does Suvarna bai was supposed to be Radhakrishnamai?

3)Shama was bitten by a snake in saisatcharithra while by a scorpion in Mere sai..

Why some facts are modified?

The only book I read on Sai is Sai Satcharitra in English and even I'm confused by the characterisation. Didn't even realise that Madhav was Sharma till he got bitten because he is so nice to Sai instead of pulling each other's leg and threatening Sai to do things for devotees. Honesty some episodes look like it been modernised to fit in with today's issues and thinking.

Nope that was bayyaji appa kote patil I think

Tatya's father & bayja bai's husband's name was ganpat rao kote patil who was called appa kote patil by villagers

Even I had a doubt about suvarna bai but she left

Dilawar Ali's real name was jovhar ali , idk if he had 2 names

True that... Even I found Shama's characterisation to be a little messed up. He was actually a very intriguing character with so many paradoxes who would often take quite a few liberties with Baba which no one else ever dared to. Also Baba was said to always make special concessions for him for reasons unknown. In the serial Shama is actually shown to be quite a worldly wise man, wherein Sai Satcharita portrays him as a very naive person. He was so completely surrendered to Sai, he could not be even concerned about livelihood maintenance only serving Baba and his devotees without any monetary receipts. He is known to have even given up his teaching profession when he was transferred out of Shirdi. He was almost like Baba's second soul, always with him like a shadow. Rather in the track wherein Kulkarni throws him out of the school, I had often joked that given Shama's character, he had handled the situation awfully calm, without any confrontation with Baba.. Had it been as were the norm, the first thing Shama would have done irrespective of the severity of the situation would be to go and fight with Baba banging his head that how come even a bug could bite him without Baba's allowance. And the best part would be that despite the hot fights, there would have been not even a trace of malice or bitterness on either side.

Even Sai Baba as characterised in the serial have been shown to be very calm, placid and easily approachable. Whereas Sai Satcharita says he was of a fiery temperament , often flying into unexplained rage. His fury was as harsh as fire. People were actually very scared to approach him and would often seek Shama's intervention. Till the very end, Baba remained an unexplained engima, mystic, other worldly, nobody could ever find his depth. The serial has humanised Baba to a very great extent, portraying him along the lines of a social worker. Not that it is any wrong or bad, just a little deviation from his character.
