It's been a while since Mera's musings, so here goes...

Could it be they are intensifying the drama factor in showing Shanti and Sarla's traps to turn Raghav against his wife and children? Raghav's blindness and stupidity to add to his deafness is being exposed so that Riya finally sees their true faces when she returns.

Raghav made a grand announcement that every person who brings a paycheck should give it to Shanti Devi...Riya wasn't there. So maybe the first friction will come when she says "sorry I have some expenses so you aren't getting my entire paycheck". Now that would be a good start to put Shanti in her place. The first cut in her pedestal.

Will Shivam tell his new wife about the drama at home in her absence or will he as usual make eyes at his wife or just roll and shift his eyes in silence as Shanti continues to up the ante against Cowsalya and her kids? How far will she push the envelope before Raghav realizes his family is being shoved off the cliff ?

Shanti Devi is going to trip herself up sooner or later by playing too many games all at once. She's turned on Cowsalya one too many times recently making Shivam furious but he's not doing anything yet. He's got a knack to stump Shanti Devi and forcing her to decide in his favor already. So maybe that's how he operates.

She dripping with honey just to get her hands on her paycheck. Riya has already noticed Shanti treats Cowsalya poorly but when she questioned her mother-in-law she brushed it off as nothing. Dumb move COWsalya.

Nimmi may have streaks of Shanti Devi's personality and reads her Dadi like an open book. She knows when the old bat is up to no good with her schemes. Preeti is a bit of a tube light taking a while to see something's the matter. As long as Nimmi keeps dropping her comments even if she's scolded for it...at least it's out there and will make someone realize what Shanti Devi is up to at some point.

What's Sarla's obsession with the CHANDRAHAAR that Cowsalya gave Riya? Does she plan on walking around Railway Colony wearing it? The buffoons she hired may loot her or her own son who stole her other necklace could steal it to pay off his gambling debts. Pari is always waiting to fleece her mother off the cash the way Sarla fleeces cash off Shanti Devi.

Pari is going to bring disgrace to the family and Raghav will force her to marry Vyom...could it be? Her dreams of a rich queen will come crashing. Hope Amit is exposed for his gambling sooner or later.

Rani is a smart cookie. She'll make sure she takes back her jewellery back from Sarla's cupboard while she's at Shanti Sadan. Shanti can't force Rani to do anything. She tried to turn her against Riya but the two new brides seem to have hit it off as friends.

Raghav needs a few wake up calls...he drags himself and is always tired and ready to nap. No wonder he pays no heed to the fact that his wife has been living a life of slavery and hiding it behind her smile.

Don't be surprised if Cowsalya turns on and dishes Shanti a verbal punch when pushed too far. Women like her who take a lot of abuse have a breaking point and could shock Raghav, Sarla and Shanti some day. Now that would be a high TRP track.🥳

Renu has the goods on Sarla and she can always use it on Sarla and Shanti Devi if they turn on Cowsalya. Sarla won't hesitate to turn on Shanti and blame her for browsing through Renu's things. Raghav ought to see that on a big screen TV.😛. The man is deaf and blind to what's happening under his nose.

Raghav has talked about treating bahu like a beti, Riya is going to challenge his belief that Shanti will rule the roost.

For just Rs. 20,000/= Shanti decided to treat Cowsalya with little respect asking her to beg for money? That money was her gift from Renu, so Shanti is the thief who shows no conscience in her treatment of any member of her family when it comes to money.

Preeti should get an offer of marriage from a rich family, it will be fun to see the groom's Dadi calling the shots and showing Shanti Devi her place.😉 This should happen after Pari is married to Vyom and is forced to face her kaam chor behavior and do the chores at home supervised by her bhabhi.😆

Amit should be exposed having stolen his mother's jewellery, Raghav sees first hand his gambling life style and be forced to work in his Dad's canteen.😆

Rani should find a way to get Sarla to do as she orders...the first one being if she goes to Shanti Sadan every day she can't come back to the house, it will be Rani's house.😛

Is Sarla angling to get her hands on Shanti Sadan and toss her brother and family out? Or is she planning to move her whole family into Shanti Sadan to make life hell for the whole Srivastav family. Ashok has self respect enough he won't move in.

Im waiting for d day when kaushalya will break!n im sure it will b smething to do with shivam or nimmi!i want her to bark it out everything on her good for nothing hubby!
Oh yes preethi is gone marry d 'Bhai' vyom was talking abt..,im sure he is jus a driver n wooing pari in hope that she is rich 🤣

^^^Agree with u. I think Kousalya's breaking point will come regarding her kids, maybe Nimmi or Preethi. Most probably Preethi, since she is the one who is the weakest. Shivam can take care of himself. But considering this to be a TV show, and K being the sanskari bahu that she is, it will be a long time coming. I too think that Vyom brother or someone he calls a s a brother will be the RJ Preethi likes. The Cvs could recreate the Dulha exchange drama again there.

About Sarla trying to get Santhi Sadan - I think Santhi mentioned a few episodes back, where she goes to bring Sarla and Amit, that she wants themt o have the house and she is doing all the drama to ensure that. but how it is possible, I'm not sure. Unless the house was built by Santhi's hubby, how can she give the house to Sarla. i assumed they were poor and it was Raghav who built this house and named it Santhi Sadan.

I agree with every single point you made on the characters. I was thinking the same of what you wrote. Let see how the episodes shape up after Riya returns and hope her returns happens this week instead of after a month. Watch this tortures and unfairness toward innocent is not good. It doesn't really give a good message. They should show some positivity instead of just making the evil win all the time. I really can't stand Shanti, Sarla, Amit and Pari. Shant is a bad person that is why she is allergic to good people. Rember the 5 lakh episode, she didn't like Raghav being the honest person. She was hoping for Ragav to be like her. Ragav is kind of like her. Not evil as Shanit Devi but he is supporting his evil mother and that makes him a bad person. Hope he starts using his brain soon. Looks like Riya will start putting some sense on him. I am sure Riya will not stay quiet and will give back. Let's just hope Shivam does not tell her to be quiet and suffer. Hope they both join together to straighten up Shanti, Sarla, Amit and especially Pari. Pari is the one that I dislike the most. She will get herself in big trouble. I hope she finds out about Vyom not being rich after getting married to him.

Shanit Devi's husband was honest man, and maybe she also tortured him so much that he died very young. She might have also treated her mother in law very bad. When Sarla was acting like Imali Devi, she said some of the things that Shati Devi did to her mother in law.

Hope Creatives do some changes before this show TRP goes down. I don't see this show running for longer if it continues to show evilness, unfairness and injustice.

I just saw the episode and was thinking that today is the first time I saw Kaushi angry and at the end of her rope.

Not sure if she was angry with her husband or angry for her kids or for her sister in law. She was furious and kept on looking at her husband .

So felt for her when she had to beg for 400 rupees from her mil. That imo is very demeaning and degrading.

I saw Shivam very very angry for the first time. Could not get if he was angry about stepping boundaries with his dad, or upset for his mum or wanting to throttle Ashanti or angry at himself for not being able to support his mum and sis.

Either way today's episode seems imo a start of shanti downfall.

Raghav needs a huge wake up call and a 74 inch tv seems the only way to go

Shivam's earns, he gives it to his mother 🤪 .
Raghav lost his job or early pension sister dearest waiting in vain for her necklace , Bitto Rani,(god bless her soul, what a sweet child) feel sorry for bua Sarla and give her the RS5 . she can buy all the things that dadi shashikala mentioned.

Yesterday's episode bordered on being the most blatant display of misogynism that I have ever seen on Television. The vulgar avarice, the evil glee, the cruellest verbal assaults and the most defeaning silence maintained by the sanskaari kids of Cowsalya was nauseating. Please excuse my cynicism but I really do not have any expectations from either Shivam or Riya. I mean, its the same Riya who so famously commented Dadi to bahut cute hai. Riya is so obtuse that she totally forgot that Surla Boa knew that Riya thought of Shivam as her would be groom. Not once during the great Indian wedding tamasha did she turn towards Boa and said but you knew, didn't you.

I am not sure whether its the actor's personal body language or the character's attribute but Riya's frequent pursing of lips and demure mannerisms do not evoke any sense of hope in me. Her body language and tenor is extremely diffident.

The Casssandra in me is afraid that the show is going the take the path that is going to be non confrontational or dramatic. What if Raghav loses his job and Shanti becomes invalid. Surla Boa and her badmash company are going to do the disappearing act. Then Cowsalya with her sewa will tend to her dil ki acchi saas and the sanskaari kids will pool in to save the save the family from pecuniary disaster. The great lesson learnt would be that being sanskaari pays.

Excuse my ramblings but one thing that I am very happy about is that the show is losing trps. Audiences will always root for David but not emotional pygmies.

Even through all the negativity, I see slimmest positivity.

It is heart wrenching to watch Shanti-Sarla's karkoots, but what I like is:

That 5L Rs that Shanti wanted to sit on, & Sarla wanted a part of, finally escaped out of their hands.

The 20K Rs that Shanti grabbed only to make Kusiya look bad in front of Raghuwa, did not stay in her hands finally.

Kusiya is married for 24+ yrs and had the Chandrahaar for that long. Why does Sarla all of a sudden fancy Chandrahaar is something the CVs haven't explained or it slipped out of their mind. But somehow if she gets that she has to give something else up ... or it may not reach her even though is given to her.

With every new drama Shanti & Sarla hatch and execute, they fall in their own dugged-up hole.

Haven't watched today's epi yet, but, I can see, slowly, very slowly Kusiya is getting to the point where the "realization" is going to hit her soon. She is not yet there. She is "seeing" all the unfairness happening to her and her children. Until now, she hadn't even "seen" it, though it happened all the time. She will very soon break. It would be good if she reaches this stage ASAP.

I guess till now Kausalya and kids were used to Shanti/Sarla's antics. But with the arrival of RIya/Rani, some things have drastically changed. Shanti never like Riya to begin with, but Im assuming, she thot that if Riya was married to Amit, Sarla will know how to handle her and also Sarla would get all of Riya's money and her house (how that is possible, I do not Know). But since things changed and RIya came to Shivam, their anger and jealousy have increased. Inspite of SS treating K and kids horribly, they seemed to have hit the jackpot with Riya, whereas Sarla and Amit are stuck with Rani.

Im sure K will change, but it is going to be a drastically slow process. If she needs to change, there has to be a simultaneous change in Raghav also. Otherwise, all the courage she brings up to open up or protest will go down the drain.

I hope they show Raghav also introspecting about the recent happenings. I want him to think, how come SS are the only ones who badmouth his kids, He doesn't see them doing any of the things Shanti claims that they do. Just the few times Shivam has opened his mouth - during the wedding, during the 5L drama, should give him an insight into what kind of a son he has raised.
