Hushkila, you haven't talked about the significance of Ashura.

I've read from various books about the Sacrifice of Husayn, for Islam, it's the main reason of mourning for Ashura according to various sources and facts.

You have no say on that?

Otherwise, great information! Thanks!

my dear, if you read it properly, the ahadith were mentioning the importacne / significience of Ashurah, if you check on first page, it did mention that the fast of Ashurah was important in pre-islamic days, it was obligatory before the fasts of Ramadan. Prophet Musa Peace be Upon Him and His nation got rid of pharao on this day. Even the Ashurah's fast was important for the non-muslims (Quryash) in pre islamic period. I also mentioned the crucial incident of Karbla with Hussain May Allah be pleased Him and his family. what else you think left from mentioning? 🤔

Mourning is forbidden in Islam and Quran told that Shaheeds / martyers are alive so i m unable to understand the concept of mourning, yet my post doesn't deal with non islamic teachings here, as i do mention only what is in Quran o Ahadith.

there are many ahdith but i m not going to quote all of them as the answer will be much longer and there are many pending to reply till this time

Narrated by Muhammad bin Sirin " One of the sons of Um 'Atiyya died, and when it was the third day she asked for a yellow perfume and put it over her body, and said, "We were forbidden to mourn for more than three days except for our husbands." (Bukhari Volume 2, Book 23, Number 369)

Here you can see by yourself martyrs are alive and given food from Allah but we don't have the understanding of it

And never think of those who have been killed in the cause of Allah as dead. Rather, they are alive with their Lord, receiving provision (Quran 3:169)

what i said was the original importance of Ashura which did include Karbla incident of 61 AH and that's i wanted to say about it. the purpose of the post is to inform people that Muharram is sacred since the ancient time when the world was made and its original importance is not mourning.

at the end still Jezak Allah o khair (May Allah give you best reward) for liking my post

i hope i answer your question?

But you should have enlightened more on day of ashura and sacrifices of Imam Hussian (A.S) how he saved our religion by not agreeing with Yazeed (laanti) and gave up everything for us
We should remember his great sacrifice this day

And use the word martyred instead of assassinated
It has a whole different meaning correct that ASAP

Jezak Allah o khair (May Allah give you best reward) for liking my post and appreciating it

pls check the answer given here in detail, as it also deals with your answer.

i have checked it before posting, the wording was taken from the Tirmidhi tafsir and i thought better not to change the wording from there, you can check on the link given on the first page. i'll take care for it in future In Sha' Allah (if Allah wants)
