This is not really a story. Just a retelling of hard facts. In 2008 they released the trailers for the movie 'Witches of Whitewater' . The movie was inspired by true events. The place where the University of Wisconsin - Whitewater stands used to be a college of witchcraft. The Morris Pratt institute. It was burned down during the witch era. It is rumored that the witches left behind a curse.

The book referred in the movie actually exists secured in the library. Students often claim of spooky activity around the water tower. You can read more about the towns spooky history here - http://mattrock.net/witches-whitewater

The movie even had an imdb page with related production information. There is no sign of the movie other than the original trailer. The production info has just vanished.

Of course there are many ghost stories out there, but I picked one close to home. Also Wiccan was once the largest growing religion in the region. Driving around Whitewater, Mount Horeb with a keen eye one can find signs leading to meetings of local covens.
