It helps in ranking. Suppose two people share the same number of points, but their goals vary, then the person having the higher number of goals gets the higher rank.

Case in point, BlurredLines and TC Fa had 5 points and 88 goals while _NINA_ had 5 points and 87 goals, so Nina became the second runner up and Tani&Nita became the first runner ups😊
