So, what are the symptoms of DWS (Deepak Withdrawal Syndrome)? The acute symptoms are, lack of concentration, poor appetite and sleep, irritability, denial etc. The chronic phase is yet to be experienced and seen, as it is a new condition and treatment is yet to be decided by Mr Deepak himself. Get back on screen and relieve us of this painful and deadly condition, Deepak.
Now, coming back to Kaali, the show which left us feeling so 'short-changed'. It looked like, the show was intended as a mini-series from the beginning. The writers had already written on how the show would progress and end. It now makes sense that, no matter what we have said, pleaded and begged, it fell on deaf ears. The show was certainly catered for a 'mind numbing' ( Ria's expression) audience, where a guy in colourful shirts (even fushia at one point) would beat up 100 goons per second and then has time to romance a girl on the sides.
Then, another hate-hate relationship which then ends with love, another formula used by Indian soap-operas. (But in this case it was tolerable, because many of us did like Yaswant).
In the midst of it all, comes Samar the character which we found similarities in some western films. We were left with a hope that, is this a breakthrough in Indian dramas? A handsome and dark character and we were left wondering, there must be more, there must be more...
But alas, it all came crashing down and our hopes blown to smithereens!
Now, we are ridden with severe symptoms of DWS, and hoping to see light at the end of the tunnel.
Thanks Minuu for the Deepak's interview on utube. Momentary lifesaver!!
And Alka, what is happening to the tribute you were compiling?

Seena well written 👍🏼 and the DWS Syndrome that we all r going through well-defined 😆.For me it seems like eternity waiting 4 him 2 see him onscreen.Maybe it seems he is on the look out 4 projects which he might take up only if it satisfies him creatively.By the way yesterday when i went 2 IPKKND forum as i was a fan of that serial i came across a thread discussing abt Sanaya's shows in that members were discussing abt Deepak Wadhwa and they were so obsessed by his hotness that almost all of them seems were in love with him and they were discussing with his pics from the net 😆.
Coming back 2 Kaali agree with what u have written. The whole plot was predictable and pretty farce. What remained in us was the enigma of that dark handsome character which continues 2 haunt us even now wanting 4 more.

Yes Minuu, I too noticed that some fans did mention Deepak as a possible male lead for Sanaya's new show. I was kind of shocked because, a picture of him was posted too! Though I wouldn't mind Deepak as a possible contender, but would prefer him in a show of a different quality.
Sanaya's new show is very much her show, and any male lead will be swallowed and emasculated by her uprising fame.
Deepak deserves his own show and to stand on his own, without any actress stealing his limelight!!!
But it was sweet and honouring that Deepak was even mentioned as a choice!!

The thread seems so silent and now i am on a spree 4 temporary treatment of DWS that we all r suffering 😆 though i know the permanent solution would be Deepak himself appearing on the screen .Here is an interview of Deepak Wadhwa that i came across in india-forums when he was acting in DLMH.By this we get a glimpse of Deepak Wadhwa's offscreen personality a bit .
Deepak Wadhawa gets candid

Deepak Wadhawa aka Abhishek Tiwari always dreamt of being an actor, and is proud to be associated to a youth oriented show Dhoondh Legi Manzil Humein on STAR One. He reveals how much he enjoys playing Abhishek and more such details about his offscreen personality. Read on to know Deepak better.

How did acting happen?
I was into modeling for a long time. But I also wanted to do theatre and acting as I was looking at enhancing my skills. Acting was on my mind and I was waiting for a good break to come my way. I got a great chance to assist on a play called Ranbhoomi. I worked in theatre for over half a year. The play was successful and I learnt a lot about script, story, acting and actors. Then Nitin Mali the EP of DLMH met me and after a series of meetings and discussions, I got selected as Abhishek.

What do you find most challenging about Abhishek?
He is very versatile. He has a range of emotions to display which is most challenging for me as an actor. The character of Abhishek has grown since inception so we saw anger, rage, maturity, sadness, romance, fear and depression too. It is a tough job for an actor to keep a character consistent yet have a variety to show. It is easy to get deflected but I love Abhishek for all the madness he does on screen.

Would you behave like Abhishek when in love?
Oh yes totally. He is very emotional in love and I would be the same.

Do you think working in a youth oriented show helps? Or is different?
Doing a youth oriented show means it is different from the regular saas bahu fares. That is the most important distinction. I feel good about it as our show DLMH stands out. The characters are real and relatable and appealing to the youth.

What kind of hardships have you faced on the sets?
Being in a new place and setup is always tough on anyone and so it has been with me. There is a saying when many vessels are put together, they bang against each other and make noise and that's what happened on the sets. Initially, there were few hiccups and problems but nothing major. Gradually, things settled down. Today, we are all cool in the unit and work as a team. I used to stay in a joint family in Delhi, so living here in Poona is tough. I visit my family every two months. I miss them a lot.

What is your personal dressing style?
I love the basics T shirt and jeans. But I also love good shoes. That is my casual wear but when I go out for a party I dress up in denim shirt and jacket and adorn a semi formal look.

How aware are you about politics in India?
Not very aware. I know the basic stuff though.

What was the toughest scene in the show?
There were many of them but the closest to my heart are three. First one, when I kidnap Nandini. It was tough as lots of emotions were brimming over. Abhishek was angry, sad and crying too. He wanted to get through to Nandini and felt she wasn't getting him. Some desperation too was needed. He felt helpless. Second scene was when Chander was hospitalized and Abhishek got angry with people in the hospital. He took everyone's case there for the shoddy treatment. Third is the scene when he has to express his love to Nandini, who doesn't trust him anymore. There weren't many dialogues and I had to express through my eyes the love for her, the desperation and the bond I felt.

Who are you friends with / close to in the cast?
I am friends with everyone Deepali, Yashwant, Sara, Nitin Mali, Yusuf but I am not close to anyone. It takes me time to get close to people. But we are all cool and very friendly.

A message for fans
Keep watching DLMH and supporting and loving us.

I will post a few pics of him when i get tym .Something that will appease us 4 the tym being 😆.

Thanks Minuu for posting his interview. It gives us a glimpse of who Deepak is. He sounds a bit like a loner. He does'nt give out much about himself. He talks about any subject in a 'matter of fact' style. I am beginning to like him more.

@ blue u mean like Samar 😆 .On a serious note exactly Seena I also felt the same.He is a person who likes 2 keep 2 himself but is friendly in general. He admits that it takes tym 4 him 2 get close 2 ppl means this guy has got his own reservations 2 get close and seems is a commited person 2 those he is close with.He came across as a calm, friendly, matured but at the same tym reserved sort of guy.

No Seena actually it is a modelling pic of him 😃 it seems though it looks a lot similar 2 the character pic of Samar as the pic gives an impression of a dark edge with a sort of mystery in it.What abt the first pic,Seena ? Actually he looks a lot different in that like that off a teenaged, geeky look 😳.When i saw the pic 4 the first tym frankly speaking i failed 2 recognise him as i am used 2 seeing his pics with a sort of roughness attached 2 it-a macho and rugged image 😆.So this clean shaven pic with bespectacled look was a surprise 4 me.Since the thread has become so quiet i am on the look out 4 temporary solace so do come up with pics and post it here .I am happy that atleast u r here as it seems Ria and Alka r missing in action along with Deepak 😆.
