Just penning my thoughts after watching the episode again(lol I must have watched the last 5 mins so many times already)
Raghav is a true alpha male - It is very hard for these people to give up control. But the way today Raghav acknowledged that his saree ka dukaan is more intelligent than him and her plan - you can feel how much Raghav has allowed Pallavi to take control of his and their life. The radiance on his face and his smug happiness when Pallavi says that it was just ketchup that she used for fake blood - He is so proud of his wife. You can see it in his happy radiant face.
That submission into each other is what I love. The pride in her. He always appreciated her when she was challenging him and used to one up him but today that same woman is his and that’s still the same if not more.
I get what you are saying it’s not easy for Alpha males to concede like that but THIS MAN takes pride in it.
THIS MAN loves it. He loves the drama queen Saree ka dukaan. It takes me back to that Janmashtami scene where she does naatak in front of Mandaar after the divorce papers get burned. I remember watching Raghav standing quietly at the corner and smiling seeing her do her drama - that same pride is seen and then he appreciates her as well in the night in Aai’s room.Oh how I’m going to miss these ek se badkar ek dramebaaz!!!
Pallavi is like the eagle who wants to soar high but her wings don't have the strength to soar. She was weighted down by the responsibilities of D house but after Raghav came in her life she has become fearless. She is now so strong that she can trap a evil person like Esha in her own trap and beat at her own game. She always had the brains but now she has the strength to execute even the most ridiculous plans because she knows her Raghav will back her up. The shy smiles of happiness when Raghav calls Pallavi out, the content smile seeing her husband safe and with her - You can see it all in her happy face. That is the growth of Pallavi.
This is the difference we get to see. Responsibilities are still there. But what’s different is that she doesn’t have to bear them alone. She doesn’t have the burden to carry them alone. They are together and they’ll get through together. That right - HAQ that always existed, but that’s intensified even more and that trust that he’ll be there is seen today. He may be born smart but she is more intelligent when she puts her mind to it
That last 4 min - it encompassed everything for me. The proud smile, the shy smile, the contentment in each other’s arms, the victorious smile.
In my ITV viewing experience I have seen many love stories and soulmate meet each couples but somehow Raghav - Pallavi are truly different. I can't place my finger on it but when I watch the first episode and now the characters have evolved so beautifully. They always had the traits that helped them survive - Raghav with his money, attitude and brute force and Pallavi with her inherent goodness and kindness. But now they complete each other and complement each other. Raghav has become the earlier Raghav, Amma ka Raghav who was kind and sensitive and Pallavi has become the Jhansi ki Rani which she inherently is. They both imbibed the qualities that enhanced their inherent characteristics and made them more strong and more wise.
I always say this. I don’t have words for them. And I’m amazed that you could still put it in words and I’m grateful that I get to read this. I’m still in awe every time I see them together, every time I remember from where they started and where they are now. The growth, the change, how they have evolved is in the smallest things and I can never put it in words. And it is organic, it is so natural that I don’t feel that I’m watching fiction ( except when I see E and certain thing today). Their scenes make me believe that it’s reality and I think Ru said the same thing, with so less intimate scenes, we have so much more love and reality with just these scenes that we get and though I’m going to be salty over the others, I’m grateful for these that show their true relationship. The building up of their character happened when they got together, whether it was before marriage or after. And that’s one of the most beautiful things to see - Pallavi ka Raghav and Amma ka Raghav and Pallavi Raghav Rao.
Please chime in with your views.
So beautifully written. I truly love how you bring out Raghav and Pallavi and their relationship.
I want to read so much more from you.
I am going to miss this, Fria’s, Ru’s and Ana’s gifs, Ru’s KOSTINS and Ren’s HR questionnaire and her immense faith in con.
