If he wanted to mean emotions for Esha why didn't he specify and we dont see him voicing out loud that he has feelings for Esha. He only says he loves Pallavi.

While I agree we are going to get that nothing happened by the end of it all but from Raghav's perspective he was sloshed and got up without clothes. As usual his brain cooked up an extreme situation that he slept with Esha. He couldn't imagine he was taken advantage of. Normally that is not something you believe in such situations. He truly believed he mistook Esha for Pallavi and slept with her but he doesn't remember anything from that night.

From an audience point of view, we are privy to what happened that night exactly and we should view him as a victim because that was the reason we were shown that scene. Trust me if that wasn't the case (if we weren't shown the scene of Esha closing in), I would have considered it to be a mutual drunken mistake (ofcourse I knew Esha was cunning and R being a lead they would show eventually that nothing happened).

Perfect response, I was going to say the same thing but you saved me time writing it up!

So here’s my biggest issue with this whole ONS debate. (and tbh I think I’ve brought this up before lol - this is a neutral question)

1) We, the audience that actually watched the episodes, know what we saw - E pretending to be P and taking advantage of Rs drunk state.

2) the character R is saying he thought E was P and then backtracked and said he gave into his emotions. Nowhere in the show are they acknowledging that he’s a victim.

So, based on this, how are we supposed to view the character and what he did ? Are we supposed to consider it a drunken mistake or do we look at it if he was a victim. If the show itself never acknowledges that he was a victim, then can we still use that as a defense ? If the character is not operating from the mindset of a victim, can we still use that as his defense ? He’s operating from a place of having cheated on his wife. He uses the word slept himself.

We all know how problematic ITV is. Would they ever show him acknowledging that he was the victim? If they don’t consider it assault, then are we supposed inject that into the story ourselves ?

Personally, I acknowledge that he was a victim that night, but if the show is not going to acknowledge that, how is it right for us to bring that into how we interpret the scenes. Should we ? Should we not? Am I making any sense?

Idk just some things I think about whenever this topic arises again. 🤔🤔🤔

I’m not sure how to reconcile what we saw vs how they’re using that scene in the plot. This is why I always used “” if I discuss cheating or ons etc. Bc I think the show is pigeon-holing us into just interpreting it as a mutual ONS vs an assault. But we still saw what we saw and they just can’t erase a huge detail of the plot.

Of course, I also think they’re going to show nothing happened lol.

Fria - the way I look at the dialogues and the characterization so far, this is what I feel.

Raghav was drunk that night and Esha definitely took advantage of it. We as audience know that and a small part of Raghav knows that he mistook Esha for Pallavi. But as a society we all are conditioned to think that if something happened then it is never the woman's fault - rather it is that the man has forced himself on her. I think that is why after the initial doubt Raghav kind of accepted that maybe he did give into the emotions and did the deed. And also after hearing the sob story of Esha I don't think he is thinking that Esha has crossed her boundaries with him. Hence he accepting that he slept with Esha. I don't think he is thinking of himself as a victim at this stage.

In that sense, I like Raghav's characterization that he is not pushing his wrongs on to time or circumstances. He is accepting that maybe he did cross the line - I really want a dialogue of Raghav that he literally died a thousand deaths thinking that he did cheat on Pallavi and be furious on Esha when this truth is out. Because he is carrying this guilt every day even though he has pushed the thing to the back of his mind.

Wow that early - Who said it. I think that is why Farhad is gone. Maybe he finished all his scenes.

Which scene was this?

I agree. I find it refreshing to see him being so straightforward, and having a clean heart means he's not afraid to share his honest opinions. I personally believe good karma follows such people and he will become more resilient as he learns to cope with such things in his career.

I also feel that not just Sai but other actors too would have loved to play such a role because it's so unusual for MLs on ITV. It's also the role that gave him overnight name and fame and he did a fine job throughout. That was only possible because he lived this character for over a year. He's surely going to have withdrawal symptoms. If it had been a finite show he would have been able to better handle it ending but the abruptness and the way RR's character ended up had good to sting.

Can I say I have liked seeing RR or Sai through your eyes. You always manage to bring some awesome point I would have missed 🤗.

I don't think they can bring forth the chemistry needed for such scenes they lost it a whole ago and it never recovered.
