Just finished episode 2 with lot of regrets 😔.
Oh yes...good old days indeed!! I so miss Pallavi's gorgeous hued drapes..what simple and elegant sarees she used to wear!! Sorry, I know I m repeating myself here but can't help it. I was in love with her sarees, not her hairstyles though. I understand she is married now but that should not change your taste in clothes or your style of dressing. And I m only talking about sarees here...the ones she wears now are so garish and blingy!!
And I miss the good old Baba and his equation with Pallu and Aai!! The cvs can say what they want, I know that he was not meant to be negative initially. When I look at the initial episodes and the man onscreen now, they are clearly two different characters. I see zero similarity between them. The man was open hearted warm, respectful towards his wife, not hidebound in his beliefs, forward looking and so loving and supporting...a true head of the family!!
And I miss Nikhil!! He was such a big part of the story and now the guy is exiled ..for 14 years. At least we had a reason in Ramayan, here toh uss vanvaas ka koi karan bhi nahin!! Made me feel so good when I saw him and Mansi be two young pillars of support to Pallavi.
And of course I miss Mansi. There is a saying in Sanskrit that a horse's walk and a person's temperament cannot be changed. You are born with it and you die with it!! But of course ITV cvs have the creative liberty of making any sane, sensitive and good person a villian or a vamp in a split second, never mind the logic or justification needed. Characters will be sacrificed at the altar of drama!!
Aai Baba Nikhil Pallavi banter, so comforting n simple!! Small things that make big impacts!! Pallavi the ideal bahu, taking care of devar and pooja and ghar mein sab ki zaroorats...when will this portrait of women end..when???. Anyways..moving on to the best part..our hero and Pallu on the phone. Loved how both carried their attitudes throughout the conversation. Both presumptuous, both high handed..lol!! Plumber..sure Raghav naali kya pura ghar hi saaf kar dega Pallu!! 😆 And I was 100% with Rama...it felt so good to see him on the receiving end of things...rarely did we see the old Raghav speechless!! He couldn't even get a word in..she steamrolled him!! And hung up on him and called him sadu!! Pallu yaar not fair..if u call any random guy on the phone plumber and give him an earful..anyone will be a sadu. Haan, he had it coming..thats for sure!! And awaaz se hi sadu..kuchch bhi..damn sexy voice if u ask me!! 😉
Anyways that made Rama's day and ours too. Initial days we used to be happy with such small appetizers, nowadays toh half episode steamy dates se bhi unsatisfied !!
The Mansi Pallavi scene, I have already talked about it in detail somewhere...nice to see the two girls share an equation where they could speak their hearts and minds. Of course we were meant to feel that pinch when she mentions Mandar's name. But kudos to cvs for one thing, thankfully, they didn't mess with Mandar Pallavi relationship equation. It was never love, as Mansi clearly questions..love ka kyaa? He was a mirage, her first glimmer of hope, an orphans introduction to family!! She was grateful to him for that!! For bringing family into her life!! Other than that it was a few months of getting to know each other digitally for her and now we know for him... A planned obsession!!
The cvs played smart here instead of dealing with the sensitive subject of finding love again and accepting the loss of your first man..second chances and how hard it is to move one with a new partner..saaf nikal gaye!! They made it easy for all to accept..first husband didn't matter, no physical or emotional bonds there, a clean cut!! Wonder what a beautiful saga it would have been if Pallavi actually had a loving and happy marriage with Mandar and afted his loss had to come to terms with Raghav’s presence and fall in love with him again, slowly and gradually!! Hmm...that would take a different level of sense and sensibility!! And of course pigs fly!!
The puja scene ..cringeworthy!! The whole locale..beautiful!! I so miss the shoots in Hyderabad!! The temple was gorgeous and gave such a real feel to the story!!
Tell me why vamps and villians have to dress in such a manner..as if they are proclaiming just by clothes..we are bad!! Why so over the top cliched get up every single time!! Why are they still caricatures? In real life evil is very hard to notice, the bad are very subtle, insidious!!
I miss Sulus gora rang kaala pad jaaye..i really do!! 🤣
