Pallavi had fought for Raghav and their marriage

She has trusted him

Now this trust test is more of Satyavan than Savitri

See... this is a bit of a tricky situation because while Raghav has to show that he has full faith in his wife, it's hard for him to do that because his wife is known for siding with D-fam in their difficult times. That time she spoke up to VD was because it was pretty clear that Raghav is right and VD is wrong. Par ab agar D-fam mein rona dhona chalega about Mandaar's return and their financial troubles, uper se Kaka and VD ka divide, then of course Pallavi's going to run to help them as their dutiful daughter. What Pallavi doesn't realize (and what Raghav fully realizes) is that they don't truly see her as a daughter, but rather a semi-widowed daughter-in-law who is still obliged to them.

I don't think Raghav's underlying issue is that Pallavi will leave him. Sure, he's insecure about that, but I think that stems from a place of feeling that he doesn't deserve a life partner as great as Pallavi. Raghav isn't one to cage his wife, and if she truly loves Mandaar, then I have no doubt that he will let her go in a heartbeat. The issue for him is that Pallavi is being used and emotionally abused by Mandaar and his family and he will not stand for anyone mistreating his wife. If Mandaar and D-fam were good to her, he wouldn't feel the need to hold her hand (literally and figuratively) through this mess.

I also don't think Amma will pull Pallavi towards the Rao family. I think Amma has (so far) been pretty understanding about Pallavi's feelings and stress with respect to being Mandaar's widow. She even said to Raghav ke Pallavi ki help kar so she can close this chapter of her life. Amma understands what it's like to be labelled as a widow in our society and the baggage that stays with you thereafter. If anything, I think (and I hope) she will lend an ear to Pallavi and guide her from a very neutral standpoint. She'll help Pallavi sort out her emotions, help her understand Raghav's frustration, and even help her realize how little D-fam values her. Am I being too hopeful here...?! I hope not!
