Trigger warning for Abusive relations

I had spotted trigger warnings of Vijay being a passive aggressive abusive guy. But I kept that to myself thinking I was overthinking a ITV character. I gave his reaction to RR and slapping Farhad, a pass thinking he is overprotective for Pallu. But a man who can slap a random stranger like that in public, has serious anger issues. How much of calm does he keep in his personal life, u wonder? If u get to thinking his actions like throwing Pallu out, blackmailing Sharda to keep her with him, insulting Milind and trying to humiliate RR. Just shows what kind of manipulative, violent, aggressive and convoluted this man is. Is it a wonder that behind closed doors his wife and child have not faced a similar miserable fate? Maybe not outright physical violence but mental, emotional and verbal violence?

Another abusive relationship is Nibba-Nibbi. Bhai! We don’t even need warning there to see what kind of toxic person Sunny is. He looses his shit at the drop of a hat and this Nibbi is still going goo-goo eyes for him. It’s sad that many people cannot distinguish between normal relationship’s ups and downs and outright abuse. His random off the bat shouting should flag big trigger warning for Keerti but she is just thinking all this is just normal nok-jhok of new love. So many young people make the same mistake.

I think we as society need to educate the youngs more about this. Have more conversations with professionals in schools and colleges. It should be part of total education. Warna Keerti jaisi educated independent person( mind u it can happen to men too) bhi trap ho jate hai. In real life.

Truly important topic. Educating our youth on what is toxic and what’s not toxic is important. I also see so many people in abusive relationships and marriages and they brush it under the carpet stating that all this is okay, in love it’s okay to fight. I agree with you about Keerti. How is she even with that guy who doesn’t fail to remind her that he can get many girls like her....! Shocking! In real life, similar situations exist, both for boys and girls.

I wish the youth stopped romanticizing abuse. They’ve read wrong romance novels and probably also seen wrong romance in the name of movies. Stalking is not romantic, but our 90’s movies made it normal, and this is just one example. The damage is quite deep rooted. Sadly.

I totally agree with you. These ITVs or even Bollywood have always shown abusive, stalker husbands and boyfriends only for the female lead to fall in love with them.

Many of us can well differentiate between cinema and real-life but many get influenced.

Both VD and Sunny are very toxic people. I understand for Sharda she is married for years many times when that happens it gets difficult to leave a marriage. But at least they always show her standing up to her husband which is good.

For Keerthi I can say that most of the women fail to realize they are in a toxic relationship. I myself have seen women crying over their toxic bfs only to go back to them over their half-hearted apologies or maybe even not that.

But I hope they do show the correct thing by making Keerthi realize that she is in a toxic relationship and needs to leave it ASAP.

Problem is they will show that Keerthi (or Pallavi) changed Sunny with "Love" but in real life this kind of people NEVER changes. I totally cannot digest that a matured woman like Keerthi is not realizing this and fell for this Sunny. If it were Amruta or even Manasi, I would not be surprised. A woman like Keerthi will rather fall for a man like Farhad. This would have been a better angle how they manage to convince the family and society. Moreover, she is also misunderstanding Pallavi a lot which is totally not her.

Overall, this Sunny angle I am not liking that much.

What you have said is so true

in yesterday's episode Sharda is like she wont tolerate his acts anymore and the little information on how Mandaar used to be scared of VD proves that he is emotionally abusing everyone around him

all the cliche novels and movies say that girls fall for the bad guy--that is quite far from reality
