Well he is behaving like a father as well in sense that I have seen such fathers on ITV

But the problem is that they pretended to be different. They wanted to get their DIL married again. So where does this all come from then? Probably because it was ok till she herself did not show interest in moving on. But now apparantly there is someone in her life.

Pehle Pallavi ka turn hai, phir Raghav ka aayega.

Pallavi herself hasn't realized what she has triggered in Vijay by her revelation. She herself did not realize she overstepped Vijay's "maryada". She became Raghav that moment. They both are rubbing off on each other subtly without trying too hard.

Well said👍🏼

I always thought pallavi and Raghav both at their core are similar. Just so pallavi was more restrained. She feels indebted to this family for taking her in. So she was not herself. And now Raghav is bringing her more closer to what she really is. Obviously this will trigger these people.

Well said, Sister.

That is classic head-of-the-house patriarchy. "You have freedom to act in a manner we approve of." Baba said at the mandir that Pallavi is like their son---but will they allow her the freedom their son enjoyed?

But what made worried was he did't trust Pallavi fully that without discussing with her anything he straight away went to warn Raghav,, if she comes to know this she will definitely feel bad... For Pallu its her Aai baba her whole world,...

Story has to unfold more to see his stand on Pallu's remarriage when its actually getting fixed,...

That is the point, Sister. I'm looking at this situation beyond what is being here in the story for dramatic value---but in real life, often those things that are done to women to "protect" them are done for selfish reasons that are not even known to themselves.

In an early scene when Baba was upset that Aayi was looking for a rishta for Pallavi, he said he feared that Pallavi might be mistreated in a second marriage. But is that a reason to not give her a chance at a full life?

Once Baba realizes that Pallavi has been falsifying the account ledgers and the business is barely staying afloat then we'll find out whether she is truly a daughter or the wife of their dead son. I don't think Baba will be understanding.

I'm so glad you wrote the above, Sister. This is exactly what I'm getting at. There is double-speak her that Baba is not recognizing. Pallavi was not to blame. And either he trusts Pallavi or he doesn't. Racing off to see Raghav suggests he doesn't trust her to handle matters.

Having said all that---Baba doing what I disapprove of is creating a very captivating storyline and so congratulations to the writers. They succeeded.

Well put, Sister.

Pallavi told the truth because she had no guilty conscience. She only provided the details to explain how Asha Aunty got the wrong idea.

I was so pleased that he saw Pallavi drive away with a shirtless Raghav looking on with interest. Baba should remember the proverb that spying on others will only bring to your eyes what you don't want to see.

At the end of the day, he is still her father-in-law. What irked him more was not the fact that his beti was in her bedroom alone with a stranger but the fact that his bahu and his son's widow was alone in the bedroom with a stranger.

See according to me, Vijay has not completely accepted Pallavi as his daughter, unlike his wife, who I believe has accepted Pallavi to be her daughter the minute she married Mandaar.

Vijay gives me the vibes that he will choose his izzat over pallavi's if the need arises.
