Hi everyone, it's my first post in this forum.

I've been watching this show on and off. Plot wise seems quite meh but I like Pallavi's relationship with her in laws and Manasi. I like Sai Ketan Rao too- kaafi eye candy and seems to be improving steadily in the acting department as well.

Coming to my post, is it just me or is anyone else super annoyed with Sulochana's catchphrase- "Jhooth bolu toh mera gora rang kala pad jaaye" ? I dunno, it is 2021 and such colourist statements just don't sit very well with me. Especially in the light of the Black Lives Matters protests in the United States and how certain Indian brands reacted to it but changing the brand name from 'Fair and Lovely' to 'Glow and Lovely', I was hoping for a sea change in the attitude towards colourism and shaming those who don't fit the European standard of beauty. This dialogue is very disappointing. I hope the makers take note of this and realise what they are propagating.

Yh disappinting but colourism in india is deeply rooted. Its a way of life so to hear a change will take much longer. Most of india doesnt know its wrong or realize the gravity of that statement. In western countries like US , racism is deeply rooted but most of the country knows its wrong. So i think thats the difference. But i agree it shouldnt havr been said. Progress is necessary and what indian youth and audience can do is point it out and call out the writrrs and directors for it when it happens rsaher than dislike and ignore for sure!

Hiiii...The thing is she is the antagonist of show so she will speak nonsense and ^jhooth bolu toh mera gora rang kaala pad jaye^ is the part of that nonsense she blabbers.

By god whenever that Rangeen Sindoor wali aunty comes on screwn I try to forward the scene as much as possible.😡

She’s the “essential nonsensical ingredient” which is a must for an indian tv serial. Am cool with it as long as they keep her screen time limited. But her gaudy attire and that coloured sindoor really irks me.

I agree with u all even i was thinking the same... like yesterday episode i was literally yelling at the TV screen when she came n said that line...

See i live in US so i know how it is here n being indian i also know how the society is there its quite sad... no matter what country u are in or what ur race is everywhere there is racism it going to be a while before it ends... i feel she should have a dialogue change cause hearing it once is ok but keep repeating it isnt..

Sulochana is annoying and her catchphrase is in bad taste. I hope markers remove it. I fast forward most of her scenes.
