Well. I will say every drama is based on some reality and a lot of exaggeration. Meri parents k Shaadi mein Jo drama hua literally ITV show laga ga Tum logo ko.

Even though Islam mein cousin marriage allowed hain, but for the most part I have seen my family being pretty disgusted my the concept (thankfully) History hain iske piche. My father's cousin (grandma's sister's daughter) used to likw him and usne thaan li ki papa k saath hi Shaadi karegi. My father was in a relationship with my mom. Phir jaab family ko pata chala toh dadaji Nein full ITV sasural ka role nibhaya. As you know our family was involved, and calling off alliance with my father's cousin will severe a lot for ties in the family. It was my own Dadi who severed ties with her own sister to officiate my parents' wedding. Unka manna tha ki agar unho aisa nhi Kiya toh mom ki baddua lagay gi. Phir or bhi bohot drama hua. My Father's cousin tried to commit suicide. Most of my father's relatives didn't attend the wedding. Infact nikkah k pehla raat ko dadaji NE gusse mein akay rishta tod diya. Phir jab dadi ko pata chala. She went to my mother's house at 2am to console her and reschedule the nikkah the following day. Wedding hall bhi nahi Mila itna short time mein. They got married in a Chinese restaurant.

Ab bolo ITV level drama hain ki nahi? Sad part is this was our reality.

Ekta 2000 se tv serials kaa satyanash kar rehi hai. Abhi to phir bhi alt Balaji aane ke baad se serial banana Kam kar diya hai. Otherwise there was a time, har channel me 7-10 usike serials aate the Woh alag baat hai other PHs are carrying forward her legacy🤡

It's true every story that we see or read always have a hint of reality.

Same with my parents like there weren't any other person but Jo drama hai na mere parents ki love life Mai by god picture ban jayegi ek.

My mom's father was the typical amrish puri character from ddlj mom dad ka relationship unhe manjur nahi tha tho jab pata chala unko toh actually he went to my dad's parents to talk about getting them married but dad mi mom ne meri mom ki unke samne insult ki bohot toh fir dadu bhi ad Gaye ki mai permission nahi dunga but mom dad bhi kaam nahi thee jid itni thi ki almost 9 saal khulam khula relationship Mai rahe ek dusre ke saath Puri Mumbai ghume ultimately pareshan hoke dono families Ney permission di shadi Mai koyi aya nahi tha family mai se but ho gayi sirf mom dad and unke friends thee.

I agree with you that itv shows are reflection of our own society,I know that emas common hai...yeah fir even after finding out that husband is disloyal all ladies had that guts to move out,No rather they chose to live a dead relationship,neither I think ki child marriages had stopped,eve teasing is pretty much there,board a bus which is full stuffed and I can gurantee ki ek aadha banda humesha hota hai us bus who tries to touch you inappropriately taking advantage of the situation so what, do every girl protest,No they avoid it that after sometime stoppage will come and we will get down,same way acid attacks bhi hota hai,stalkers bhi hote hai,domestic violence,dowry deaths,name it and it exists in our society in our surrounding...har vo cheez jise hum social evil bolte hai use Social bolte hi isiliye because it existed as well as exist in society till now.

So showing all these things is not what is called as regressive,BUT romanticizing it,naming it as tyaag,promoting all this as culture of our Society,depicting such characters as Heroes or Role Models on tv screens is what is regression.

Mein toh kehti hu Dikhaye yeh sab,dikhana chahiye but promote mat kijiye,solution btayiye,how to deal with the stalking yeh btayiye obsessive love ko romanticize mat kijiye jo Manhandling toxic hai toh pls use romantuc music chla kar deep love mat bnayiye...agar dikhana hai toh BV season 1 dikhao where Anandi being a child bride not only broke custom but took a flight of her dreams,vo dikhao na.

Agar dikhana hai toh Anupma dikhao,Anuj jaise log dikhao....aur ab MeetA jaise MLs dikhao....romanticise karna hai toh Anandi-Jagya ko nahi Anandi-Shiv ko karo,hero bnana hai toh uske liye Vanraj ko nahi anuj ko promote karo....Humein nahi dekhne Rishi oberoi,Ranbir kohli,Fateh singh Virk,Aditya Tripathi yeah fir Virat Chavan aise characters ko shine karta hua nahi dekhna,pls they are not Heroes of our society they are the villians,so pls show them like one,the treatment what they deserve should be shown not some Haq Ki Ladai for them.

Yeah and the most hard hitting part is that she openly admits ki Han mein kachra bnati hu aur bnati rahungi kyunki aap log dekhte hai...

Thats the reason that even her content is next level crap,I admire her as a person or as a hardcore business lady,she knows what sells and she presents that.

She is very much capable of making nice mature stories be it baarish season1 of alt Balaji,the test case on same alt Balaji or The married woman.

But she knows that it will not run her business in tv serials.So yess...she is the one who brought this regression to our homes through tv and rest is done by the audience by whole heartedly accepting it....for examples Bhagyas...

Anupama ke bengali version mein Anuj ke character ko serial ke last episode mein maar diya aur anupama ashram chali gayi. Serial ke sad ending kar di😕

The people who have the power to make contents also have the responsibility to uplift the taste of general audience by showing good content. There are PHs who genuinely want to make good content but they are overshadowed by these regressive content creators
