I guess she is in process of completing graduation.

Regarding dialect it is shown that even in flashbacks she has haryanvi accent while Manushi doesn't,as we can see her whole family dadi,maa,papa speaks in haryanvi so she speaks in that way but Manushi in try of looking sophisticated doesn't as Manushi may think of it as gawaarpan.

Maybe she also wanted a brother, and when she got a sister like Meet who is perfectly capable of taking up responsibilities and doing everything, she became jealous of how much the mom dotes on her and Dadi fueled that all with her own disdain to make Manushi think she is the best and the only one that matters in the house.

I think that's just the way they talk.. Matlab you talk to any south indian unka hindi diff aata thoda.. Plus she could have topped in regional school as well..
