can we be like meera

i just thought about it like how meera loved krishna with all her heart .why can,t we do it. there r many resons for that.
1) the time diff we have
2) we have other things to keep us busy already skool,work,computer ,friends,familye etc
3) if we fell in love with krishna like meera did we can,t fulfil our respnsibilites in today,s world.
4) we r use to the world around us.
5) we can,t live without our cellphones,i-pod tv n many more things.

share ur views thats just my opinion. we have a huge time diff between meera n our times but it,s still possible. we can do ti for 30 mins n an hour but after that we get back to our world.for meera she got in
krishana bhakti as a kid n she live through it but for us it,s totaly a diff life if we have to change a lot of things in ourself. i am not comparing any of us to meera just thiking can we do wat meera did just totally lost in krishna all her life. share ur views.

agree with u everyone has someone in their life they love the most other than god cuz we lived wit some pepole our whole life n it,s just impossible for us to just totally break off with them.

yup we can never become like meera or any other historical characters simply because that time everything was different than now...

It requires immense bhakti or blind devotion to follow god completely which is not at all possible for mere humans like us. We become so materialistic and get entangled in the moh maya of life so much that even the thought of accepting god completely or trying to be even a quarter of what meera is becomes scary to us.

I know we cannot become like meera...
but look at like this... its krishna's will that we hear meera's story and take inspiration from it... nobody said becoming god's devotee is easy... but that does not mean we give up and run away... try and krishna will surely bless you...

The basic premise- I cannot be meera, is true- It cannot be otherwise as we can only be us, not someone else.

That said, it is possible to live a devoted life in spite of all the "distractions"- all it takes for devotion is to experience your "god" in your email/ ipod/ what have u! If Meera saw it in her Gudda, we can see it in our "Gudda" of modern life.
