Do the Amritsari chole have any gravy?

On the Aakhri daav challenge, the Amritsari kulcha was served with chole.

Sanjeev Kapoor said for Navneet (or Aditi, forgot who), that the dish they served with the kulcha didn't have any gravy & therefore "maza nahin aaya".

Therefore the question.

And if the chole served originally are dry, then criticising the contestants' dish for lack of gravy is wrong... {And the chole did look masaledaar but dry.}

I have eaten choles in ndia , and there is a gravy! It is not dry at all!

Yes, so have I. But the dish presented by the judges seemed to be dry.

arey..gravy must be there..in the bottom of that katory..😆

but we r seeing top ...may be for advertising purpose they put more chhole

The only dish that looks wise was closest to the real amritsari kulche and chole was of sachin only. They abruptly told him to leave as if it was predecided. I am not his fan or anything but just saw the last part so thought of expressing my opinion here. Amritsari kulche are rolle din to thin big circular shape, filled with potatoes and then bake din clay oven until very crisp. the chole are made up with masala and are not too dry as the crispy kulcha is dipped in the chole and then eaten.
