Hi Guys! I'm new to this forum but I have read all comments and been a part of it all along. But I couldn't stop myself from writing anything today even though I am very busy.

Yes The top 2 were chosen today and Shipra ended up winning too.

The top2 was a correct choice according to the comments yesterday. Joseph's dish had more problems comperatively and so I guess the decision was correct.

Both dishes prepared seemed good although for me Shazia's looked better. Im neither related to both or friend to either and so I don't have any personal favourite. I was just hoping for a true winner and that too a girl.

They neither showed the voting colours too much neither the counting and who knows who did that. In the end Shipra had won and that too by only 6 votes. She recieved so much and she kept laughing too but not once did she consider about sharing anything with anyone. She is not from such a poor family that she couldn't give away a little amount of the large sum money. But then she has her own reasons like she needed to cure her child and then what? how is this money going to help her to argue with her husband and help her get her children back - how?

ok never mind her Shazia the sweetest person she is: thought about others who were more needy of her price money than this like Vijaylakshmi - who needs to run her daughter's life by opening a cafe, Rajendra - who needs to open his restaurant and take care of his little girl, joseph who was so close and had to fulfil his wife's promise. But what I felt unfair was that she disn't get anything else apart from a medal.

i mean joseph came third and he got an appointment letter why didn't Shazia who came second get anything too. I feel that had Shazia won the title she would have given at least half the money to everyone.

anyway, I feel the judges had predecided that she was their winner. and im not against her - she is a good innovative cook.

Another thing is that Shipra again did her sympathy story again and thats not nice for herself. I mean she didnt need to tell everyone how she didn't have kids quickly and stuff. I mean she was putting herself too low. That didnt seem right.

Finally when tasting was going akshay said that shazia was blue why? i mean the people might have heard it and voted for shipra depending on whose fans they were.

Tell me your views and opinions guys.

even i was thinking dis at tasting time dat judges were wer served each dish one by one n dey wer giving comments by luking at shazia n shipra.. so ppl dere can catch dis..

@ Chand - My thoughts exactly.

1- When the tasting was on, why were they commenting on stage? All of them had mikes attached.

2- Secondly, the two dishes were brought in the same order as that served to the judges. Couldn't that have been changed?

3- Why did Shipra have to tell her entire life story to the world? Isn't anything personal any more? It was like she had to squeeze out the sob story to the very last drop. Or was she hoping to embarrass someone somewhere?

4- Shazia was generous in sharing her prize money with the others who were in the top five. Someone in another post has stated that since she's a business woman, she didn't need the money. My take: a generous person will always be so whether they have money or not.

5- Yes, Shazia seems to be the only person who came out of this empty-handed, so to speak. Joseph, despite coming 2nd runner-up, got a job alongwith the check. Why nothing for Shazia? Just because she's a woman?

6- Yes, the decision seemed pre-decided yesterday itself.

I'm totally disgusted with the four judges. Not with the 100 people, but the judges.

so very true! the decision was baised!!
shipra used her emotional pantra again, joseph got 5 lakhs along with appointment letter. shazia got only 10 lakhs.. why??
judges favoured shipra from the day-1.. it was obvious tht its shipra whoz gona win. sad but truely proved today

I will have to disagree with your theory(?)/opinion

1) Just because a person is not generous, it does not mean she doesn't deserve to win. A person's personality has nothing to with her talent.

2) Everyone had their own individual sympathy story, not just Shipra. Joesph was there to fulfill his dad's dream. Mane was there to win money so he could open his own restaurant. It's unfair to say that Shipra won because she had a sympathy story, when you very well know that she wasn't the only individual to have one.

I'm not saying the show wasn't rigged (because I'm a viewer, just like you are).Hell, there were instances where even I questioned the things the judges were doing, but the reasons you chose are simply not logical.

Yes I agree with your first point. Someone does not have to be generous to win this title cuz this is a cooking based show not who is the most generous.

Yes many people had loads of stories too and Im not saying no cuz I said it myself in the post above. Anyway the point was that she kept repeating about it more often than others.

I accept your opinion everyone will have a view and thats exactly what I want to know.

To me it looked that Shipra knew she was winning. She was more nervous in the earlier rounds when she was nearly eliminated. But since the top 5 it was obvious she knew she is the favorite to win.

What irked me was Shipra's sob-story...scratch the surface everyone has one. Shipra is a confident woman and she has her culinary skills. Its high time she stopped seeking sympathy especially if she plans to bring up her kids as a single mother after getting their custody.

She is planning to donate part of her money to charity. I read it on an interview on this site. Besides it would look strange if she gave her money when she said she has a need for it.

I hope her story and the fact that she is not the perfect bahu hasnt biased you away from her cooking ability.

people are emotional and vote for those most need it. Masterchef is a cooking show but its also about entertainment especially if there's a future cooking show.

Maybe Shirpa was found to be appealing by the judges and others. Not that Shazia wasn't but maybe they thought since she was younger she would sell better.

Or it might just be her dish on the day was the one they thought was best.

Shazia can still shine and she has been given exposure on the show and has lots of fans.

I wonder why is it that Joseph got a job but she didn't. is it because she is female and a housewife even though she came second?

Maybe you should think of that
