Master Chef India is the most watched cookery show

India has something to be proud of. It has produced at least one show which is more popular than a Hollywood production. The show is Master Chef India telecast on Star Plus TV. It is based in Mumbai and its recently started its second season which is anchored by Vikas Khanna who is a New Yorker.

Master Chef India has the highest number of viewers in world. Last season of Master Chef India was anchored by Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar. It had thirty million viewers which is the uneven US market can never expect even for a sporting event like Super Bowl. This is the first show which has outsourced a US television program.

Vikas Khanna was recently received a Michelin star rating for his pioneering work at Junoon, a Manhattan restaurant. It is being eagerly seen if Vikas Khanna gains the same popularity as gained by Akshay Kumar. If he manages to then the position of Master Chef India will be secured for years ahead.
