The last glimpse of what had become my favourite show and my Achilles heel in the last few weeks

How could I capture all the thoughts and emotions I felt with the last curtain of MLKT

Awww... Aditya and Priya are going to have a baby. They looked so healthy. Their body language was perfect. That scene was perfect. Short as it was. My Baby boy Adi looked all grown up. Mommy (me) was so proud. Jeete raho mere lal. Hugs and Kisses

Congrats Hope, your baby boy Aditya has grown up and you will soon be a 'Dadi' 😆 😆 😆 On a serious note, Aditya did look and act mature even though it was just for a few minutes. It looked like he's lost his hot temper and become more responsible and calm. I saw more of RaQesh than Aditya (you know what i mean). Priya was always sensible but now there seemed to be more understanding between them. As soon as Priya said she had to tell him something, i knew it was the obvious happy news, she looked a bit shy ☺️

Awww...Uttara my fav, kept the baby and went into fashion (what a wise decision by CVs) this woman has love (we see it with her nephews) compassion and style and they revived all of that.

Baby Shravan is so cute,he'll be a chacha in a few months. He looks more like Uttara than Brahma, in fact Brahmas all four children (the ones we know about 😉 😆 ) dont look a bit like him. Uttara is standing on her own two feet, which is good and Tara is with her too and she knows all about her mother and Brahma. No secrets there!

Awww...Dev and Shubh are the new Spencer Tracy and Katherine Hepburn. They are going to walk into the sunset in a single file. Him by her side, of this I am sure. She and his mom have a plan. What they refuse to admit is that Shubhu is loved because he plays by his own plans and does not skip to tunes of others. He will let them plan their entire lives with no end I am sure. BTW, that music stole 4 breaths of mine when it played.

The last scene, while I am not a big tea party fan and especially when it's a ladies tea party. This one left me with goose bumps, a misty eye and a whimsical smile

Usually during 'Jeevan Phera' apart from Priya who was sometimes happy the other three have always been sad and crying, it was good to see them them all having a laugh wholeheartedly.

Let's just spit the rest out

Err...There's Corny and then there's Supersized Totally Mental and Corny

Aditya takes out the gun (sorry honey that was a gun sticking out of your pocket? I thought you were happy to see wifey) and says this time don't hesitate to fire. How did he know there was a last time? He was jogging right? Nope, Priya said he had gone out for some important work, he had gone jogging the day before. Or was he hiding behind the flower pots watching the show CVs? Maybe he was watching the telecast at a nearby sports bar? BTW, did he take the gun for puja? Weird how those props show up so conveniently

Aditya was so active for a dude with a concussion, possible brain injury and someone who just lost a ton of blood from a skull wound. He ran, he jumped, he did the marathon, a high speed chase, everything. Doctors in India can use him for patient tutorials on what NOT TO DO WITH A CONCUSSION.

Aditya could not remember VIdya's puja. Must have been the blood clot they left undiagnozed from the concussion they never treated

Brahma drags Priya into the car. Has he heard of car locks?? Maybe not as he has always been the cop catching the kidnappers and he did not get a dry run for this one.

Vidya who was neither gravely hit nor chloroformed was lying unconscious waiting for the grave diggers to finish their job before she got up and tried to make a dash. How accommodating of her. She is so considerate of all villains, cheaters and scam artists in this world. Somewhere a guardian angel is getting rapped on his knuckles for losing control of this woman

What surprised me was with just one slap from Brahma she gets a nose bleed, she trips over a stone, grazes her arm and bleeds badly and before that dont know how she was covered in blood. Priya when kidnapped by Brahma, the first time, also tripped when she was chased by the goons, tied up, slapped numerously, strangled, had her hair pulled and was knocked over in the chair, yet she had not even one scratch 😕 🤔 And Brahmas smart, for Vidya he had two goons whereas for Priya he had a van full of goons to kidnap her, now what does that say? 😆

RD went to jail. Why? She has the proof that incriminates her, the only witness is dead, and the new DIG is her man. Maybe she fell in love with the jailor and wanted to replace Brahma as the part-time lover in her life.

RD is the new Lalu Prasad Yadav. He went to jail and left his wife in charge. She went to jail and left the only son-like dude she has left in charge. Lallu's wife's logo was something to do with kadhai. Wonder what Aditya's will be. Spectacles or the word Chori, ???

Aditya is one of the party leaders. No wonder this party does not win elections. Just runs for them. Too many heads to one body,

Vidya is running an NGO. Hope to the heavens this NGO has to do with animals because with her limited brains any responsibility with human victims and villains can only spell doom and disaster for all. Her pea brain cannot deal with complex plots only basic actions.

Post leap Devyani has gone high-tech during pujas. She takes her Bluetooth to pujas. Why the cordless phones in your house are broken?

Jaggi has finally traded in that useless crackerry for the IPhone it seems. At least somebody got an upgrade. The jhakars keep theirs as they are supporting Canada the new home of Gaurav. For those that did not get it RIM (owner of BB is from Canada)

I wanted to say thank you to CVs. In Pia's thread "Suggestions to give Maryada a memorable ending" I posted the following request...

ok what I want to see

priya and aditya's relationship back to the happy days of early marriage. the lost chemistry should resurface. aditya needs to show his boyish charm again and Priya her playful side. Thanks for Tuesday and today's moments.

she should finish her law exam and be shown become a lawyer Again Thanks

aditya shown as assuming an important role in the party i.e he becomes secretary or something for the ground he has gained and RD moving into a higher role Again Thanks

RD being the one to throw Brahma in prison without no hope of release and getting all his failsafes like Verma etc out of commission Again Thanks

If RD is shown trapped the show will be unrealistic as this does not happen in real life

Smaller fish like Brahma always get fried

Your Job is done on this show. For better or worse we all stuck it out with you. I hope you do other unique shows like this because we desperately need some novel plots on Indian TV.

Devyani will be doing what she loves best, looking after the family. She will keep the home fires burning and wait for everyone to come home in the evening to eat the lovely food cooked by Imli. I'm worried about her children though 😕

Dissapointments😒
1.The way vidya escaped...how weak were those men...😆
2.Bhrama-Devyani confrontation...Devyani's dialouges were the weak point here...I just wanted to fast foward it...it would have been more effective if she had said 'Tum' instead of 'Aap'.
3.Bhrama not being handcuffed by the police..with the police knowing he was handling a gun a few seconds ago...then bhrama stealing the police man's gun.
3. When Priya escapes from bhrama she runs to Aditya-instead of getting into Adi's jeep they run around on the road...
4.Aditya despite being hit on the head twice by a hard wooden stick arrives to the woods 5 mintues after Devayni/Uttara!
5.Bhrama the villan and one of the main big characters and main male character didn't even get a last shot-we should have seen his dead body-atleast his face or his pyre burning...all we got was a shot of an upside down car. 😔
6.Uttara in the 1 year later comes home and her baby is crying-she tells tara that he is hungry get his food ready and give me some water!

The Good things😃
1.Vidya not being married-I was glad that the girl who thought marrriage was everything had matured into a fresh thinking woman you now realised marriage was important but not a neccsisty.
2.Devyani with no sindoor and single-people are saying why didn't vs get her with SJ but you have to remember she has come out of a 30 year old realtionship which was full of decit and abuse mentally and physically..what she needs is some independancy and not another realtionship.
2.Priya becoming a lawyer,so glad about that one...Aditya becoming a senior in his party...
3. Flashback of Gaurav and Devyani's mention of Gaurav...he is gone but not forgotton
4.the end shot of 'jeevan phera' when this song was played before in the show the women were always upset and hurting but this time they were laughing.happy and free.
5.Aditya looking good in glasses and all mautured...prya looked nice with her in the bun...aw wish we got a shot Adiya with ther baby...
MJ must have been glad that shubhankar decide to stay friends rather than couple with devayni when they found out priya was expecting..she probs thought ..dadi nahi hu hoon aur yeh log muhje par daadi bana dete😆

All in all star plus should have let Maryada's last episode air for an hour had that happen then the episode wouldn't have felt rushed,one mystery will always remain how did Aditya know where bhrama had taken vidya??😆...

End was pleasant. Devyani organising the pooja was a deja vu as that is exactly how the Jhakar house was introduced except that the handsfree was replaced by a bluetooth. Even I liked Dev Shubu relation as its left open to imagination. It was clear from the end that Shubu had become an integral part of their life and he would not give up easily so there is hope for Dev and Shubu's relation.
Loved Aditya in the mature attire with a professional wife. Soon they would be proud parents.

I was happy that all the women were shown to be independent along with managing a very happy personal front Was a bit baffled with Uttara's response when she came back from work and Tara coming running to her to help her stop the baby from crying. Happy that the drama ended with a positive and a happy note.

I agree with all of you. It is sad that such a novel show ended with such a filmy epi but the last few minutes were satisfying and done well I felt - enought to leave me witha warm feeling about where the main characters lives are heading

Aditya's scene were a final treat. really loved them

I hope they come out with Season 2. Really really really. got my fingers crossed

somewhere in never never land shibu is smiling and sipping a garma garam chai with dear old devyani and sitting in her parlour while that seductive music is playing

Aditya is cuddling priya and nibbling her ear ion their kingsize bed while priya is trying to shower him with all the attention knowing that he is going to feel neglected of her attentions when the baby comes. which believe me is very natural.

if that leaves you with a warm goosy feeling then let it as that what the show was trying to do😃🤗

I too think this show was yanked off prematurely but I think the stretch of the Brahma madness track is probably what caused SP to pullt he plug

evertime the show's life support was in question, they production house got the story back on track.

sad that only doomsday could get the plot back in focus

this show especially the pre extension epis will always be treasured and a novel story for me

I wish CVS had avoided the whole Vidya kidnapping,Brahma holding Priya with a gun,the chase,the mandir bells with jai ma jai ma,the accident.BJ was punished in such a subtle manner😡

I wanted it to be more logical and gripping.They totally lost me there.

The last 3-4 minutes were worth enjoying but I wish they showed D-S on a casual date,brought in Gaurav and bauji.

Even though Vidya said that marriage is not the only thing in life(true)but that part was directed so badly.I mean why are you showing us V reminiscing her wedding/good moments with G if you are gonna tell us that in the end.

Anyway its done and so is my LONG association with Indian tv.
