Why are they showing women like these?

I totally agree with you. I hate devyani's character she is sooo weak and is living in her own dreamland. She wants to keep her family's honor but does not care about how many innocent lives are being ruined due to her husband.
They should show uttara going out and getting a job and helping abused women instead she is just sitting doing nothing and backing up ssp.
They should show vidya standing up for herself she should separate from gaurav and probably go back to studying.
Priya should bring out the truth about ssp and also help abused women.
rite now they are just showing really weak women. It is just like watching a saas bahu serial.

I am disgusted by devyani. she knows her hubby wants to sleep with her sister but she does not confront him or leave him and just smiles. She just makes me sick to my stomach.

Completely agree with you. My reason for watching this show was because to see women stronger and smarter. I know this might be same for everyone else as well. This show when it started was different compared to all the other shows. I thought it would be different but its not. I am tired of seeing same old things shown again and again in this show. Vidya needs to STAND up for herself. She needs to stop listening to stupid ideas of Imli and find out different yet good ways to make guarav realize her love for him. Devyani, what can i say about her, i was disappointed in her character at first and now still am. She really needs to stop covering mistakes for SSP who doesnt even care a bit about her. Uttara: she was the only one I actually thought would go with the right. But, i guess she is gonna be a sweet sweet saali who wont ever be done prasing her jijagi. Priya: how can she forget what SSP has done not only to her but her family as well. She needs to stop thinking about Adi and tell him the truth. Because, if Aditya finds out the truth by someone else he is gonna be mad with Priya. To be honest, I dont even bother to watch this show anymore. Instead, I just read the updates and then decide to watch the show if something interesting came. However, nothing ever does.

Other shows are doing even better than maryada. Hope they change the leads characters. otherwise, not many will have interest in this show!

Totally agree with u!...it is now time to show all these woman do something BOLD...It is really needed
And especially Vidya...how many shows do we see in which the husband doens't like the wife...and then the wife does her cazy sacrificing and tada...the husband is hers...I want Vidya to try and make her own identity...to do something that makes herself noticeable i don't want to see another Devyani in her

I totally agree that Devyani is the worst mother anyone could have, she just likes to hide everyone from the truth.
