*||* Rakesh Bapat - The Actor *||*
Born on September 1st 1978, his father was in the Indian/Merchant Navy and his mother is a teacher. He was the first runner-up for Grasim Mr. India 1999. He debuted in the Bollywood movie Tum Bin (2001) and since then he's worked in several movies and television shows. Some of his movies include Kuch Dil Ne Kaha (2002), Dil Vil Pyar Vyar (2002) and Koi Mere Dil Mein Hai (2005). His television works include Saath Phere on Zee where he essayed the role of a singer (Neel) and more recently he was seen in the television show Seven on Sony where he essayed "Shlok's" character. He's also started in several television commercials. He's currently seen as Aditya Jhaakar in Maryada on Star Plus.

Aditya Jhakaar is SSP Bhramand Jhaakar's youngest son. He's a honest and fun loving guy who lives in a joint family. He believes in fair treatment of everyone but sometimes he used his power and contacts to his advantage. He seems to be educated but still speaks in a mostly Haryanvi accent. He has a very casual and close relationship with his mother (Devyani), brother (Gaurav), aunt (Uttara) and his sister. He is also the love interest for Priya played by Ridhi Dogra.
