But like godavari incident, ministers did try to malign his reputation as a womanizer

As per history -

He had second wife (I forgot the name, may be durga)

subsequently when Sambhaji rebelled and had joined hands with Mughals (Diler Khan?), he ran along with his second wife and sister.

when regretfully he returned back to swarajya, his second wife and sister were arrested by mughals. Those two ladies spent their entire life under house-arrest in Mughals camp. Sambhaji's attempt to free the ladies was miserably failed.

Ohh yeah, I remember reading something like this in history textbooks, but from the literature that I have read (Shriman Yogi, Chhava, Sambhaji) I don't recall any such incident 😕

Only thing that I am sure about is Yesubai and young Shahu (Sambhaji-Yesubai's son) were arrested by Mughals when they won Raigad after Sambhaji's death. They were kept in imprisonment for more than 20 years till Aurangzeb's death. Let's see what they show here..
