So, this is what "Kahe Diya Pardes" means. Large family with all sorts of people/drama. lots of adjusting. Our Gauri will pass with flying colors; with Shiv's support and love. we just have to be patient.

Another depressing episode.
I know that it is just a fictional story but really it is very difficult to get two cultures together when there are such uneducated, stupid people all around.They have nothing to do with someone's emotions. Only want to satisfy their ego.
In previous days it was shown that Shiv is so much attached to his mother. But she has nothing to do with her son's happiness. Can't understand. How can a mother becomes a villain for her son.
So what will Shiv do now? Really hoping that it get over as early as possible.

This Benaras circus is getting bigger and bigger. All the damands are behaving like they are kings. Dadi and Amma in full nautanki. Looks more and more like watching a hindi serial. As Mrunmin suggested, the CVs should take note that the interest will slip away from the viewers if this sort of nautanki (along with negativity ) is constantly pushed down our throats. Serial is loosing it's original character.
The only hope is the ticker saying Chuttan will turn Dadi around. Waiting anxiously for that episode to bring things back on track.

@bold - exactly what I was thinking today. How can a mother not understand her son's feelings. Seems like her ego is more important than her son's happiness. When Aai did the same to Gauri, atleast we could relate to her, coz any mother will feel how will my daughter adjust to a new environment.

Maybe I am getting it wrong, or maybe the Banaras version is too OTT to convey that, what Amma is doing, is also thinking of how her son can adjust with a girl from different upbringing. What is being shown, comes across as - I dont want my son to marry Gauri, thats it. No reasoning is given.

Yes exactly. Gouri's mother was helpless. She was not against Shiv but was only backings her husband. But Amma's expression today was like she has won a battle. What a selfish mother!!
I think Shiv will be far away from his mother. And it will be Gouri who will become a pool between them

Gauri aur shiv se kuch nahi hone wala . both are dumb. That's why I am saying lagna jhala ki BAND kara.

Shiv will say that he will marry Gauri or no one else. Also, he will threaten to leave.
