The AdiMeg scene and Nana Mai conversation about it was actually a Taunt to us that AKAL KO ANDHON we are showing Romance and that is also like Aayushyabhar Purnara and if you can't see it , it is your problem.

Today is the birthday of one of the rising stars in the Marathi television industry. 12th Sept! The day this world was blessed with a wonderful human being as him. He is an epitome of versatility and a model human being, living a very simple life despite his recognition after he stepped into Julun Yeti Reshimgathi. He amassed a massive number of fans by his suave looks and impeccable acting.

Indeed a special day for the JYRGian family and the Lalit Prabhakar fans.

Since nothing worth commenting is going on in JYRG aka 'AyushAwar bolU kAhI', let me voice yet another off-topic rant about poor English in Marathi serials.

In the Thu night epi of 'Asmita', the character of Manali, while describing a mentally unbalanced

character to her boss Asmita, says 'tI bAI ekdum psychic Ahe' when 'psychotic' was the right word.

A psychic is someone with supernatural, ESP powers, like a 'medium' at a seance.

Another mistake in the same epi was the psychotic character scribbling the word 'save' in English

shorthand on all walls of the house and artistically carving those characters on Manali's wrist

during a 'knife attack'. If she needed help, would she write 'SOS'/ 'Help' or 'Save'? 😆

A couple of weeks ago, a letter to the editor in MaTA correctly criticized 'Asmita' for the poor

wardrobes of all characters, esp Sid, Manali & Asmita, the 3 main characters. That letter also

ridiculed Asmita's habit of telling her full name every time (including her father's name).

After Nitin (Chandrakant) Desai started this trend of including father's name, Mahesh (Waman) Manjrekar picked it up and now many others seem to be following this trend!

I prefer 'Asmita' & 'Jayostute' over JYRG & HSMHG, which have been stinking for some time

now. 'Durva' is also falling in a pattern - naive Durva, nasty & scheming Mohini, hot-headed

Mahipati, bipolar Mandodari & so on.

But if you are optimistic then you can recall dialogue of Shabana Azmi from movie 'Main Azad Hun'.

Raat jab bahot kaali lage to samjho subah hone wali hai.
