Instead of getting her to sign divorce papers they should rather get a court order to annul or cancel the marriage as one spouse is not of sane mind. So the court can order the marriage to be dissolved

A contract or any legal document signed by a mentally dull person is NULL and VOID.

And, how can a mad person even hold a pen..???? Even if Samaira signs the papers, that will prove that she is NOT mad and the whole plan will shatter down...!!

Didn't they PLAN to send her to the asylum to get a divorce automatically?? I was confused.. That's what the law says after all.. I think.. PROVE that the spouse is mentally unstable & is a danger to himself/herself or those around him/her.. And VOILA.. Divorce granted.

So, Adi should be fine in the court if he files a one sided-appeal for divorce since he can get a doctor's note easily and gather enough witnesses (Mahanto, etc) who can testify Madhu's gun-brandishing, careless attitude with Arnav.
