Or maybe he thinks Mahi is a wannabe writer from a fab fashion magazine and is looking for an opportunity [read- leaks into Ishaan's personal life for a juicy story, or simply a recommendation or good word from him could take her places]

In any case, we know Ishaan-Mahi gig won't work out cos she has to end up with boy next door Shiv [who is rather cute 😳]
so I'm guessing Ishaan will eventually play the antagonist, there's that streak in him... 🤓
