I finally saw the episode. It was rocking. Shiva ruled. It was also interesting to find out he is also a Garuda. Now something we didnt expect.

If Katherine and Thapadiya Mai are also Garuda's then that makes 5. But at least 3 are confirmed. Rudra, Charles and Shiva. The story got even more interesting now. Cant wait for the next one to see what happens!

Yes next week will be interesting, because as per the latest promo shiva meets Rudra and tells him that he is a Rakshak, not just in this life but in every janam.

More later, I hope, but for now, this was NOT the first time Rudra hears about the amrit. Daadi mentions it clearly in her long conversation with Rudra, mostly in criticism of Shivanand, where she tells him that Shivanand was researching the connection between the garuda chinna, the Sarasawati kund, and the amrit.

Plus, I do not think this Rudra would stare open mouthed at anything!šŸ˜‰ He seems to have become far too much of a cool cat, and occasionally a very angry cat, for that.

True.
Daadi mentioned amrit-rahasya - that Siva was trying to find the connection between the twin divine legacies of their family- garud tattoo and saraswatkund ka pani. At that point Rudr was focussed on the secret of the tattoo and hardly seemed to register the mention of the mythical elixir. He questions her only about the garud ka rahasya!!!!

When Sahadev mentions Siva's grand vision of amrit bubbling up from river bed then Rudr finally perks up and pays attention. The Saviour of the Amrit is finally awake to its existence. He even rolls the word around like he's tasting something new. However, like Arshi put it, no trumpet flourishes announced the moment.

No trumpets announcing the moment is a huge saving grace of this show! And me is liking this cool cat Rudra who can easily become the angry cat, the weeping cat, caring cat, hopefully even a romantic cat someday!

Good point Shyamala, and good response Happy.

I agree that when Daadi was telling Rudra about it, his focus was more on the Veshes, and revenge for Maimui and Udiya Baba's death. That Shiva was trying to connect the Garuds chinhs to Amrit didn't register. The moment Sahadev says that Shiva had made a Bhavishyavani, it catches Rudra's attention.

Happy, your line about Rudra saying the word 'Armrit' as if he just tasted it - too good.

Amen,Arshi!

And yes, I too liked him from Day 1, even when he was setting my teeth on edge with OTT snarling as Rudra when he was introduced.
.
That is the way one likes an apna, and makes excused for him and feels protective towards him. I have had this apnapan with Gautam since the day I saw him standing waist deep in water in his opening shot in Saraswatichandra, for all the world like a young Rishyasaringa, so pure of heart and mind that it would rain in the desert as soon as he set foot in it. Even when he has not been quite able to master a scene here, he has never lost that innocence, that little boy quality.

As for the amrit, and when Rudra first heard of it, I was merely making a technical point, and half in funšŸ˜‰. I agree that it really registered with him only when Sahadev flagged it and highlighted it.

My dear, you have not even read the last one yet, and I have been missing you!😭

As for this one, I usually get it out by 5 pm on Sunday, but this weekend, the middle finger of my left hand made too close an acquaintance with a newly sharpened knife. So I am somewhat handicapped, with a bandaged, throbbing finger making it hard to type, but I am trying, and if I cannot manage it at all today, I will post it in 2 halves, the second tomorrow morning.
