Okay first of all a big applause to Ms. Pooja Sharma for just beautifully portraying Durga avatar ๐Ÿ‘
Words aren't enough to describe how phenomenal she is โค๏ธ

To be honest i didn't like the episode except for the last part . I felt like the entire scene of Ma Durga slaying mahushasur was the only watch-worthy scene of the entire episode .

So far IMO apart from Lord Shiva , only Durga's characterization seemed and felt more appropriate in this show .
Why I love only this particular characterization in the show is she totally acted and behaved like a REAL GODDESS ๐Ÿ˜Š .
What I loved the most is she was totally calm, composed , well focused and balanced like a true warrior ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ
And omg ... THE WALK !!!! Ma Durga's walk towards mahishasur was simply epic ๐Ÿ‘
Pooja's performance as DURGA was in totally attention to detail . I just admire the accurateness in her acting . She neither seemed emotionless nor overdoing anything . There was an absolute precision in her acting, body language, facial expressions and dialogue deliveries .

Thankfully (like kali avatar) there was no screaming which quiet irritates me . Initially i liked it but now it's just getting annoying ๐Ÿ˜†

I really loved that supreme CONFIDENCE Durga ma had in her face. She totally possessed self-control, self-confidence and responsibility as a Goddess .
As Parvati she never seemed much self-confident and always easily gives in to her emotions .

So far in the show only Durga avatar embodied the real "Goddess" like features and characteristics.

As there was often mentioning from the beginning of the episode that only a Naari who has all Tridev's shakti combined together can defeat mahishasur I actually thought that Parvati, Lakshmi and Saraswati will merge together and become Goddess Durga as all three are the Shaktis of Tridevs . But instead of shakti energy only the astras (weapons) of tridevs merged together to create Durga ๐Ÿ˜† LOL !!!

Anyways what's done is done & as usual UN will easily get away with it by showing one good scene or by throwing romantic scenes on our face ( which has become quiet common ) ๐Ÿคฃ
Most flaws are conveniently overshadowed with Pooja-Sourabh chemistry !!! How smart !!!

But I'm glad that romance didn't overtake today's episode .
Today's was totally owned by the one & only MAHISHASUR MARDINI ๐Ÿ˜‰ ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ . Really it was the most coolest avatar I've seen in this Mahakaali show .
The way she walked towards him and slayed him was just WOW !!! Gave me goosebumps.
As always like any other asurs mahishasur was acting all overconfident and arrogant with full of attitude thinking no-one can defeat him ๐Ÿ˜† But then there you go ๐Ÿ˜Š, no matter how smart the evil ones think they are GOOD FORCES will always outsmart them ๐Ÿ˜‰

Personally I feel Pooja as Mahakali is equally good; the first 3 epi she outshine and overshadowed everyone including bad vfx and graphics; but wht I feel is now it's over done that's why it's losing its grip and intensity. I think Kali should tone down her roar; and basically her appearance shouldn't be frequent; Sid.T should have kept the show name Adishakti or Parvati somewhat like that; by keeping show name Mahakali they are making her appearance frequent; but I personally feel She is equally good in both Mahakali and Durga role :)

Regarding today's episode nothing can match up to Mahishasur Mardini; Pooja was the show settler; till now my favourite was always Mahakali role but after today's episode my opinion; thot everything changed; I'm in love with her portrayal as Goddess Durga; I felt as if Goddess Durga is onscreen; everything was simply perfect; her expression; body language; screen presence her confident; her walk was just out of world.
And yes as Parvati she always lacked confidence; but today it was different for the first time she showed enough confidence of Herself; After Shiv mentioned Tridev cannot kill Mahishasur; she was confident enough that Mahakali can kill; and today with confidence she even told Karthik how he is going to see his mothers next Roop.
So I personally feel as Parvati also she is becoming equally good and having enough confidence and determination to do anything!!

I found the entire episode marvelous. Vishnu and Shiva confronting Mahishasura was phenomenal -- it highlighted the necessity and power of Durga. The end initially seemed a bit lackluster (I was anticipating a longer battle), but Pooja carried herself spectacularly. She's inarguably the best Durga on television: she impeccably captured Durga's balance between Mahakali and Parvati, and was bolstered by her gorgeous costume design. Moreover, even though the battle was short she wielded her trishul as if it were easy. She looked so natural as Durga: at no point did she ever look like Pooja.
Personally, I love Mahakali's scream; it demonstrates her wrath and unbridled power. As 1Rockstar1 noted, in today's episode Parvati was confident and assured. She immediately knew how to take advantage of Mahishasura's arrogance by sending Shiva to him. Then, she took advantage again by requesting the powers of the Tridev. This has been her story, and we've reached the climax. Parvati is now functioning as Adi Shakti, and hopefully we'll see more of her incarnations.

I don't think the show reached its climax; there is alot they can show; Stories of Parvati/Adishakti is vast; and I agree it was difficult to recognise her as Pooja or someone portraying Goddess Durga role; She looked extremely Natural and Real that after seeing her as Goddess Durga i can personally not like anyone else in the role. She has set a higher standard in television as Goddess. and yes Parvati since the start of the epi wasn't like the previous one confused; meek; She was confident that if not Tridev or Mahakali; then definitely she will find some other solution to get rid of Mahishasura; She behaved as Goddess there too.

Hi dear,

Great post.

The highlight of the episode was indeed Mahishasur mardini. Pooja was brilliant as Ma Durga. Goddess Durga and Devi Tripura Sundari are my favourites so far. Pooja lookef radiant in these avatars. The confidence and calmness on her face and determination and anger in her eyes she looked so beautiful. I also noticed that this thr only avatar where they showed sindoor in Parvati's maang. The costumes and make up was really good.

Another thing I liked in yesterday's episode was that Mahadev and Narayan were finally shown fighting. It was kind of weird to see that its only Kali who steps into the battlefield every time while the Tridev just watch.

I also thought that Devi Lakshmi and Saraswati would merge with Parvati and Durga would emerge since they are the shaktis of the Tridev.

I think they should have given more time to show the slaying of Mahishasur and the boon the Goddess gave him. After all Mahishasur mardini is one of the important names of the goddess .

As for Kali and Durga they are very different. Durga is the warrior goddess while Kali is an embodiment of anger. Kali brings chaos. So i guess her being shown roaring anf and out if control is necessary. I liked that in the firstv3 episodes and even Batuk bhairav episode . But now itvseems Kali is kind of a costume Parvati slips into when she desires. I dont like Kali appearinh in every episode.

Thank you dear ๐Ÿ˜Š

Oh yes !!! I forgot about that sindoor . Thank you so much for pointing that out ๐Ÿ˜Š It was very symbolic and meaningful .

And before this Durga avatar I also liked her as Devi Ambika in that Unmat Bhairav scene ๐Ÿ˜Š She was looking very serene and divinely beautiful .
Like you said Mahishasura Mardini avatar was shown for a very short time than expected . I feel like at least last half of the episode could have been dedicated to her instead of a single scene . Throughout the entire episode I was eagerly waiting only to see that avatar of her .

Yeah it's true that Kali mata is the embodiment of rage and fury & that's why I could relate to that screaming in first few episodes . Also I'm okay with her screaming and yelling at asurs but I didn't find it appealing when she was unnecessarily talking in such a manner to Mata Ganga, Himavan , Menavati etc . Especially I felt like the way she was talking to Himavan and Menavati was full of attitude rather than approaching. For example when they asked her "who are you Devi? " and for that she replied " Who am I ?!?1?" like as if it was wrong of them to not know of her & both of them looked scraed, kneeled down with fear in their eyes !!! It really seemed funny to me ๐Ÿ˜† . Gods and Goddesses are not meant for to be feared by good people.

Also I don't understand why they often bring Kali avatar in unnecessary scenes ??? Just because her name is the title of the show ??? ๐Ÿ˜† .

The fight of Shiva and Vishnu with asur was nice especially I like how Sourabh's face slowly turns angry . I love how beautifully he switches his emotions . HE's really so good at it ๐Ÿ˜Š

Sorry I forgot to credit the make-up and costume dept. !
They've really done fantastic job after a long time ๐Ÿ‘

Although they've failed before in some aspects but this time they had done a great job with the make-over and the attire ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ Even that third eye looked more real ! ๐Ÿ˜Š
Durga's overall get up was flawless โค๏ธ ๐Ÿ˜Š . Couldn't take my eyes off her

Yes...poor Himavan and Menavati...I thought a formless energy would appear but then Kali arrives...that too in her most fiery form...poor people...they looked so scared...and she even roared at them.

Saurabh is so good. I just love him. I love the way he uses his eyes to convey emotions. And the Sundareshwar avatar was too handsome.

I still can't get over Pooja as Goddess Durga; not for once she resemble herself; it looked so real and natural as if Real Goddess Durga was onscreen; and I personally feel her eyes are plus point; such beautiful enchanting eyes she got and it was kept focus during the whole Mahishasur Mardini sequence. My disappointment was the scene was too short and ended to early; I wish in future also we get to see her as Goddess Durga again โค๏ธ ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ
Everything was perfect including her walk
