Ya I agree duryodhan was at fault n putting the entire blame on shakuni for duryodhans actions was not right
Here is the reason y a temple has been dedicated to duryodhan in kerla
There is a fascinating story attached to the temple: Duryodhana came to the village in search of the Pandavas in exile . Thirsty, he asked an old woman for water. Impulsively, she gave him the toddy she was carrying. The parched Prince drank it with relish. It was only then that the woman noticed he was a Kshatriya warrior and he could lose his caste by drinking toddy served by an Untouchable Kurathi woman like herself. Horrified by what she had done, she was certain the Kshatriya Prince would punish her with death if she told him the truth . However, not wishing to cheat someone who had trusted her, she confessed her ‘crime’, risking her life. She waited for certain punishment, but was astonished by Duryodhana’s reaction. “Mother,” he said, “there is no caste for hunger and thirst. Blessed are you for putting the interests of a thirsty man before your own safety.”
The villagers rushed to see this high-born man who was so different from the haughty, upper-caste men who came only to punish them or treat them like worms. The Hastinapura Prince announced he was gifting the surrounding villages to a temple that would be built but have no idol. A Kurava Untouchable would be the Priest. To this day, family members of that old woman’s family are the hereditary Priests of the temple, which has no idol . Instead, the presiding deity is Duryodhana. The minor deities are his wife Bhanumati, his mother Gandhari, and his friend Karna. It is generally believed that the spirit of Duryodhana resides here to protect the poor and weak. He answers the prayers of the destitute and those suffering from disease, poverty, or harassment from those stronger than themselves. This deity is the protector of the weak
Not only in kerala, there's a temple dedicated to duryodhan in the North as well
I don't know if there's any temple dedicated to draupadi n the pandavas

wow well said there is no.caste for hunger and thirst and its heartbreaking to see when gods deities even descendants doesn't care abt caste religion but people destroy the world with petty mindset of caste religion and misunderstand what gita quran and bible try to convey to himans and they are harming innocents in the name of dharm rights justice
On going discussion on YRHPK -
Imma riot if Abir uses that beautiful shayari voice for anyone else than Mishti (jk) they are just too cute ❤️
Shaheer doesn't fit the image of Arjuna in my head but Abir is love
shaheer in real life is good with shayris too...
I am missing his shayris
Shikhandi as Senapati 🤔
Why would they make such stupid changes in the story?
i never came across in the epic what was her role in MB other than drupad daughter and draupadi sister🤔
Wooow...❤️ I will search more about it.there are draupadi temple in my country singapore infact i got married too in that temple and every year during navratri festival there will be fire walking ceremony in the temple walk by the men only and when this festival happen draupadi's hair will be open to celebrate her strength at the same her anger on men due to vastrahatan chapter she is also worship as mariamman in that temple
according to the show she was amba's reincarnation.she wanted to be the cause of bhisma's death.she transformed into a man and became shikhandi to take part in the war. I don't remember how she became bhisma's death cause
i never came across in the epic what was her role in MB other than drupad daughter and draupadi sister🤔
i never came across in the epic what was her role in MB other than drupad daughter and draupadi sister🤔
That's debatable
The story says she was reincarnation of Amba, born as a woman but raised as a man, Shikhandi was married, her wife found out about her being a woman, she was ashamed and went to jungle and exchanged sex with someone, got male body and came back as a man, Bheeshma didn't fight with a woman therefore he didn't attack Shikhandi during war and putting Shikhandi before the Arjuna and co killed Bheeshma
But it is mentioned in war chapters that Bheeshma attacked Shikhandi on day 7, he broke his bow and Shikhandi was leaving the war but Yudhishtira stopped him reminding him of his vow to kill Bheeshma, which he took in front of Yudhishtira and his father, Yudhishtira said people who break their vow bring shame to their families and themselves and ultimately they have to kill themselves, Yudhishtira promised Shikhandi that Arjun will protect him during the war
On day 10, Arjun protects Shikhandi and they fight Bheeshma, Shikhandi is no match for Bheeshma and he keeps attacking Arjuna, Arjuna cut his bow and Shikhandi hit Bheeshma with 10 arrows, Arjuna kept cutting Bheeshma's bows, when no bow was left, Bheeshma threw a dart at Arjuna, Arjuna cut the dart too, after this he was enraged or excited and started attacking Bheeshma (Note - Till now, he was just stopping Bheeshma from using his weapons while Shikhandi was shooting arrows at him, Shikhandi had killed Bheeshma's charioteer), Arjun pierced him with thousands of arrows and Bheeshma surrendered to Arjuna
Now we can't say for sure, If Bheeshma died from Arjun's arrows or Shikhandi's arrows 🤔 I think that's about it
