Because I dont want this thread to get reported and then you will say because of me the thread for closed and how I spoil the """"ArDi"''' atmosphere. So yeah. PM is a better option when I dont want a warning for bashing a fandok but after reading your post I need to reply you.

. Panchali's display of love for Arjun in aswamedhaparva. Vyasa clearly establishes Drau's love for him thus...When Arjuna is about to come back victorious after his aswamedha campaign, Yudhi asks Krishna thus. Srotavyam Chet tan me vyakhyatumarhasi...why is partha always indulged in battles, devoid of comfort and happiness..Is there any in auspicious sign on his body?...Krishna replies thus.nahi asya purushasimhasya...Partha's cheekbones are a little bit higher.Except that I don't see any other fault in his body. On hearing Krishna 's words Draupadi reacted thus. ...krishnaa tu Draupadi krishnam tiryak saasuyam aikshata..."tasyastam pranayam... Hrishikesah.Draupadi looked angrily at Krishna as she could not bear the attribution of any fault to Arjuna.Krishna approved of her indication of love towards his friend displayed by the princess of Panchala who is also his friend...courtesy Bori CE and Kmg translation.

While wandering there, they saw the handsome daughter of Vasudeva, Bhadra by name, decked with every ornament, in the midst of her maids. As soon as Arjuna beheld her he was possessed by the god of desire. Then, O Bharata, that tiger among men, Krishna, observing Partha contemplate her with absorbed attention, said with a smile, 'How is this? Can the heart of one that rangeth the woods be agitated by the god of desire? This is my sister, O Partha, and the uterine sister of Sarana. Blest be thou, her name is Bhadra and she is the favourite daughter of my father. Tell me if thy heart is fixed upon her, for I shall then speak to my father myself.'

"Arjuna answered, 'She is Vasudeva's daughter and Vasudeva's (Krishna) sister; endued with so much beauty, whom can she not fascinate? If this thy sister, this maid of the Vrishni race, becometh my wife, truly may I win prosperity in everything. Tell me, O Janardana, by what means I may obtain her. To get her I will achieve anything that is achievable by man.'

"Vasudeva answered, 'O bull amongst men, self-choice hath been ordained for the marriage of Kshatriyas. But that is doubtful (in its consequences), O Partha, as we do not know this girl's temper and disposition. In the case of Kshatriyas that are brave, a forcible abduction for purposes of marriage is applauded, as the learned have said. Therefore O Arjuna, carry away this my beautiful sister by force, for who knows what she may do at a self-choice.' Then Krishna and Arjuna, having thus settled as to what should be done sent some speedy messengers unto Yudhishthira at Indraprastha, informing him of everything. The strong-armed Yudhishthira, as soon as he heard it, gave his assent to it.'"

Page 10 has Arjun's reaction on seeing Panchali and page 12 has the one on seeing Subhi. With Panchali it was 'elephant in rut' rushing to a pond of lotuses. With Subhi, he was 'struck by the God of desire'. He had the hots for both women. Love didn't come into it.😆

As a matter of fact, KRISHNA asked Arjun to abduct Subhi and actually had to be PUSHED into it by him. Subhi was indifferent at best and at worst was terrified, because it doesn't say anywhere that she was likewise 'struck'.

Where else does Arjun speak of his love for Subhi? Would sincerely like to know. You see I have listed out the instances where Arjun acted out of love for Panchali and not just out of lust. Panchali was called Arjun's 'love' by Vyasa after he returns from his weapon collecting trip in Vana parva. I haven't yet seen Arjun vocalizing his LOVE or sacrificing for Subhi or even Vyasa talking about an ArSu love.

So do give the citations. I would like to see the evidence of ArSu love.

perhaps Vyasa's intention in recording Drau's feelings for Arjun THROUGH KRishna's approval holds good to analyse our ultimate point of discussion. Did Draupadi love Arjuna more? The answer is yes .She did love him more. That she can not bear even Arjun's dearest friend point out a fault in his form is crystal cleav. The Lord himself approving her exhibit inion of love towards his bosom friend is icing on the cake.

Subhadra , on her own, as an individual has minimal importance in Ved Vyas's epic. Her name stays only by association with Krishn, Arjun and Abhimanyu - strictly as sister, wife and mother. Not as an individual.
Even Krishn is openly partial to Draupadi as a friend and soul mate, rather than to Subhadra.
And IMHO, if politics so demanded, Subhadra too would be shared amongst five brothers. If Yudhishtir insisted and if Krishn permitted it.
And if she wasn't sister to Krishn, Subhadra would likely never come to Indraprastha.

That's such a lovely scene! I can visualize Krishn's cheeky smile and Draupadi's irked sidelong glance at his sense of humor.
Btw, some interpreters have changed the 'two high cheekbones' into something much naughtier.😉
