Big Magic's very popular show Akbar Birbal by Triangle Films is all set to go in for a revamp with a younger cast.

As reported in the media, Hasan Zaidi and Gaurav Khanna were to take over from Kiku Sharda and Vikas Kotian.

But now Tellychakkar.com has exclusive information that the role of the Shahenshah' Akbar will now be played by the Krishna' of TV Saurabh Raaj Jain.

As per the buzz, "The makers and the channel were not on the same page when it came to the final cast. They thus decided to get Saurabh in at the last moment. Other sources although claim that the makers wanted actors who could give their complete dates for this show."

Interestingly another version that we received is that the makers and the channel felt that Hasan did not look his part as Akbar especially when pitted against Gaurav as Birbal.

Though the reason for the change remains under the shadow, sources have confirmed that Saurabh will soon start shooting.

We tried reaching Saurabh but he refused to comment on the development.

Hasan on his part said, "I have no idea as I have received no official news from the production house."

We dropped a text message to producer Nikhil Sinha but did not receive any revert till the time of filing the story.
