Very late to the post because of my laptop issues. Just wanted to thank Krishna for agreeing to be a part of this. Havent had the opportunity to read your books yet. But it was very interesting to read all the discussions here.

Thanks a lot Anu babe for organizing this and starting a new trend on IF.👏

Well copyright and piracy problems will exist either way. For a print book, all it takes is just cutting off the spine and feeding it through a automatic feed duplex scanner (or at least having an automatic feed). It takes more work, but depending on the dedication, anything is possible.

For an ebook, it isn't that hard to strip the DRM protection associated with it -- there are tons of software available to do so and whether it's associated with Amazon (Kindle) or Apple (iBooks) or even Google (Books), DRM removal is a piece of cake with software. But again it depends on your audience and your popularity. Chances are that if you aren't a very popular author your books won't get pirated. If you are someone like JK Rowling (I just watched Harry Potter so her name is the first thing that came to mind), you would get pirated from both the print and the ebook.

But I will say this -- many folks are interested in ebooks -- especially since technology makes it so awesome. Sure you'll be at a greater risk of having your work being shared, but that risk is always going to exist.

😆 There you go. Shyam is the go to dude for all things technical. As he said both formats are easily pirated. I think online libraries like the ones I mentioned are probably the answer. Sort of like the music industry working with iTunes
As for me I much prefer electronic versions. Storage space is a big thing for me, since I buy a ton of books. Plus the fact that I dont want to waste paper. Plus the portability. Plus the price. (I could go on and on and on😆). Most importantly, INSTANT GRATIFICATION

So Krishna and all other authors, let me add my voice to Shyam's and request e-formats. And make it available world wide please! Perhaps the Cowherd Prince will be available here in the US?😊

I have some more questions

i have read half of Kurushetra by now so my questions are

1)As per AC Pandavas and their army didnt use Astra weapons or firewright weapons in intial days of war at least till Drona's death they didnt.Does this have any basis in the epic?I mean did pandavas not use any divine weapons in the epic in initial days of war?For what i remember they did just like other warriors did it was very normal in the war. Arjuna had collected a lot of them in vanvas during Indralokagamna parva

2)After reading half of Kurushetra i am still unable to agree with the fact that Dharma should be supported as an emperor just so that Govind and Panchali can prove that an emperor doesn't have the right to stake his kingdom or wife and hence the whole wager only was null and void.

I mean i get their point and its valid but Dharma of AC is so vile and weak that to support him as an emperor for any reason seems not right to me,

He has zero contribution in the war,his plans always end getting his army killed and he doesn't even seem to care,he isnt allowing his warriors to use astra weapons because of his belief in divine order and is allowing them to die.I mean this guy doesn't deserve to be an emperor for any reason at all

Suyodhan also believes in divine order but atleast he is flexible but Dharma isn't i just don't understand how Govinda will even achieve his purpose of 'prosperity through firewright knowledge' with Dharma as an emperor?

Hi All,
My apologies for having gone silent these past few days - but with work pressures and a computer glitch, I have not been able to check back and respond to you all as promised earlier. Hope to remedy this over the coming weekend.

In the meantime, I am scheduled for a twitter chat this evening at 5PM IST - @krisudayasankar is my handle. Would love to continue the discussion in realtime over there, or else, please bear with me and continue to leave your questions here, and I shall do my best to answer all of them.

Thanks a ton!

Hmm, pirates always stay a step ahead, I guess.
Thanx for the clarity.
