I dont think its sympathy people give him. There is a difference between feeling bad for a person, and showing sympathy. Karna's life is unfortunate. He did not deserve all that. Amrita, thanks to u too! And I am nt much confused... I feel for Karna at times, and I dont like hik much. I can still say he is a true hero I respect him, and to an extent like him.

Also, if Karna ever wanted Sympathy, he would not deny Krishna's offer. :)

I am not super concerned about the Panchali part 😆. After all, she was considered DA GIRL in Aryavarta. Why wouldn't any man want her as his wife. Not to mention she was also well educated and politically astute. She was considered a BIG CATCH which was why there was so much ruckus when a seeming nobody won her. All of those present wanted to marry her, not just Karna


The only difference of opinion I have is actually with Karna's characterization. For him to remember that Panchali rejected his suit and then to steam about it for 12 some years would make him either an immature teenager or SRK from Darr. I am ambivalent about Karna. But I would like to think of him as a mature man, growing in his thoughts and in his outlook. I would like to see him take a rejection from a girl with good grace and move on. As for the rest, I think everyone makes mistakes and the company he kept led him to more catastrophic mistakes than most and I would like to believe he regretted it. To think that he stewed about the rejection and then proceeded to take revenge 12+ years later would be to malign him IMHO.
