On a lighter note, maybe the above conversation was the inspiration for the book "Men are from Mars and Women are from Venus." Men think with their minds and women think with their hearts.😃

it seems that there are lot of sakha sakhi scenes in this book. post some more convo between them.😊

how this book handle the infamous offer of krishna?

krishna's foot hurt him acutely. he sensed his end was near but strangely felt all the more peaceful and accepting.

all this while draupadi's words splashed his mind & heart like the wet and salty waves into the river...or were these waves an extension of draupadi's tears?

tears she swallowed all her life. tears she carried with herself while emerging from the flames.

tears that traveeled with her to her swayamver mandap, rajsabha to kurukshetra battlefield and much later continued to dreanch her but she kept them stubbornly away From her eyes.

the same tears today threatened to spill over but draupadi blocked them with her outcry.

" Govind i offer to u all that u bestowed on me but still don't comprehend the meaning of surrender. in my association with u , a qustion has long worried me is that if i submit to you all my joys and sorrows , what remains within me to call my own? i believe that for the welfare of others , i must preserve my joys and submit just my sorrows . every individual and situtaion we encounter in our life is predetermined and has a purpose. by not accepting it or escaping it we cannot alter our destiny"

from

krishna the god who lived as men when krishna is remembering draupadi in his last time after being hurt by the arrow.

What Draupadi Said in her last meeting with Krishna, From "Krishna- The God Who Lived As Man"

Translation : I am offering to you O Govinda what you yourself have given to me

How true was her devotion and how complete was her surrender!!

This is beautiful...

There are some really awesome friendships in the epic...
But somehow, Sakha-Sakhi stand out because at a time wen men n women were not allowed to communicate freely, they managed to set an example...Its sad how people try to malign this by linking them...

Two souls can be connected in many ways...

sakha-sakhi bond i call it as divine friendship or divine love.. something ethereal and out of the world! ❤️
last day I was listening to srimad bhagavatam from my grandma!
in it it was said that draupadi when she fell down during Mahaprastan the only person she thought of was her sakha!
