Duryodhan was the luckiest person when it comes to have friends.
He had friends like Karna and Ashwathama who were ready to die for him. They knew Duryodhan was always wrong but still their love and devotion for their friend never flinched.
At least Karna had the knowledge of Duryodhan's adharm still he supported him just for their friendship.

And Ashwathama, he forced his father time and again to stood beside Duryodhan. He knew his father's unconditional love for him, he saw his father getting shattered while fighting against good and for bad. Dronacharya many times pleaded Ashwathama from doing emotional blackmailing. But still he was ready to leave his father for his friendship...

In today's world, Kaha milte hai aise dost??

friends a precious relationship, having loyal and unflinching friends like karna and ashwathma is commendable. but despite all that loyalty it is better to have hateful enemys than friends like this. maybe duryodhan valued his firends but he didnt do right by then nor did they do right by him. they followed him in all his wrong deeds. and didnt do their best to stop him from doing these bad deeds. so even thought their friendship was strong it was wrong
pandavs had few friends but they had true and strong friend like lord krishan, who never let them on week and guided them on the right part.

therefore lord krishna is worshiped as a true friend, called Saaka, and his friendship with sudhama and with Arjun are always given as example of true friendship

not karna and duryodhan or Ashwathama and duryodhan.

Yeah duryodhan was the luckiest when it came to friendship

but sadly he could not return equal friendship and love towards karna and ashwatthama

as for karna, he always rebuked him when he failed to do his "raksha"

for him, karna was a bodyguard appointed for his security

and as for ashwatthama, he thought of him as his soldier who is in a contract with him for battle...from which he can free him

sadly duryodhan could not be a good friend

*Im saying this about starbharat MB...i dont know about real

its really depends how you define friendship?!? ... i have always loved Oscar Wilde's definition ..."A true friend stabs you in the front" ... the meaning of this is truly how we translate this line ... its better to have someone tell you something on ur face then have someone just play along and become shady later on back stabbing you

Ashwathama as per the original mahabharat (to my knowledge) wasn't overtly involved in scheming with Duryodhan against the pandavs ... his jealously towards Arjun led him to incline towards Duryodhan ... for the most part of it he maintained a balance between pandavs and karauvs ... he grew furious only after the death of his father (Drona was tricked into death) ... ⭐️Ashwathama and ⭐️Drona aren't truly depicting a father son relationship they had

and if jealously and hatred for one side becomes the reasons for your friendship with the other side ... for me that's not true friendship

⭐️Ashwathama is shown evil and he has his own selfish motives to be on the side of ⭐️Duryodhan

as for Karna ... he offered Duryodhan true friendship ... he gave all he had to this friendship... tho much later he realized the wall of his friendship was forming cracks ... he was unable to show Duryodhan the mirror to reality ... but he stood by his word ... even if that meant giving his life

its important to have friends ... friends that hold up the mirror and show ur true self instead of ppl who claim to be ur friends on face value and behind ur face they back stab u gossiping about!!

just my point of view ...peace out 😆

@TM- Exactly..aaj-kal kahan milte hai aise dost
Duryodhan was really lucky to have such friends but the fact remains that he made his friends do no good. The lust of Dury for the kingdom made Dury ruin all his relationships & he never realised the love & affection of his closed ones as such..
