and i want SRJ as krishna. i cannot imagine any1 else after seeing him play lord vishnu & now krishna in MB.

n i think ur rt.. mb has so many characters. they will have to rope in so much of bollywood to play them. how will they get so many mainstream actors free with dates ?female lead to thik hai. the main prob will be male characters. u need 5 pandavas, karna, duryodhan, bhishma, shakuni n most imp- Krishna. itne main lead actore sab ek saath i dunno how its possible. if they cast popular actor for 3-4 characters others will be overshadowed in screen space. . i think they will need fresh faces

I hope to God they don't make it. If they want to have it sell, they will need famous names. Stars usually want the focus on them rather than the character.

Not only that for viewers who are interested in how the epic translates on big screen the baggage that comes with a star will need to be overcome. Someone mentioned Kareena Kapoor. I can't for the life of me picture her or ANY other BW actress as Panchali. In fact one of the major pluses for me in watching StarBharat was that none of these guys were very well known and I could see them as the characters rather than the stars. Although it is also because the CVs did a very good job of immersing them in the story.
