It's possible this precap is misleading. Everyone thinks it takes place the same night Abhimanyu died, but it's possible this precap indicates Jayadrath's death after Krishna creates the illusion of nighttime?

well actually arjun kills jayadratha the next day---you know where krishna hides the sun...that part--this was not a part of the epic---but even then---it ought to have been.
and frankly it would be very natural.
