Episode starts with Duryodhana announcing Karna as the next Senapati and stating that only he ( Karna ) can kill the Pandavas, Drona looks insulted and barges out of the camp and Karna with a sad expression sees him ( Drona ) march out, Ashwathama angrily tells Duryodhana that only his father is capable of taking care of the army after Bhishma, Duryodhana replies that Drona's heart lies towards the Pandavas and he ( Drona) will surely be partial towards them in the war, whereas his friend ( Karna ) wont.
Krishna and Arjuna are tying up the horses in the Pandava camp, Krishna tells Arjuna that tomorrow Angraj Karna will enter the war and he has -'Shakti'- given by Lord Indra, Krishna then says that if Karna fires that Shakti saying your name - he ( Arjuna ) will surely die, no Kavach will be able to save him from that, Krishna says that killing him ( Arjuna ) is the sole motive of Karna,Arjuna, with a smile replies that it was him ( Krishna ) who gave him the Gyaan and secret of Life & Death - why is it that he is now scaring him from death, Arjuna then states that Karna's only motive in life was killing him ( Arjuna ), he then says that he is not scared of dying, Krishna gives Arjuna a smile.
Bhishma is lying on his bed of arrows when Karna approaches him, Karna folds his hand and says that he ( Bhishma ) has always insulted him and has always tried to keep him ( Karna ) away from hastinapur, Karna then says that his repsect for him ( Bhishma ) has not decresed one bit, Bhishma with a smile replies that he ( Karna ) is a fool to think this way, Bhishma then addresses Karna as 'Kunti-putra', Karna is shocked, Bhishma then says that he has known this secret of his from years and years, he was the one who advised Adiratha to send Karna to Magadha to learn archery, he then says that - he always wanted to keep Karn away from Duryodhana because he knew that he is not an adharmi, but Duryodhana is, hence he ( Bhishma ) always wanted Karna to stay away from Duryodhana, he then says that now that he ( Karna ) is aware of his secret and he knows that he is eldest Pandava - he should go and join his brothers. Karna replies that his friend gave him the respect he always wanted, he ( karna ) has always struggled for respect and when the society was laughing and mocking him - his friend came to his rescue, he cannot leave Duryodhana to die in the midst of war. Bhishma replies that he ( Karna ) can do whatever he wishes to, Karna then folds his hand asks for blessings, Bhishma replies that he does not have anything to give and cannot give him the blessing to win - he ( Karna) ) can ask for another blessing, Karna replies that he only needs a blessing for respect, Bhishma says that respect cannot be given as a blessing, though prowess and skill can be given as a blessing but respect cannot be given, he then proceeds to say that respect is earned by 'Samarthya', Bhishma then says that if he ( Karna ) fights for victory and not for killing - respect will be his, Karna replies that he will put forth all of his 'Samarthya' and fight for victory and earn the respect he craved for his entire life, Bhishma addresses him as 'Putra' and gives him blessings. Karna leaves the area.
Drona is in his tent when Ashwathama enters, Drona tells Ashwathama that he will not fight under a ' Sutputra' ( Karna ), Ashwathama somewhat agrees but says that this war is thiers, Drona angrily interrepruts Ashwathama and says that this war is of Duryodhana and not his, Drona then says that he ( Ashwathama ) is tied to Duryodhana and he ( Drona ) is tied to him ( Ashwi), and tells Ashwathama that a love of Father & Mother is unconditional and is the purest, Drona then says that he ( Ashwi) should realize now that Duryodhana is not his real friend.
In Duryodhana's tent - Shakuni tells Duryodhana that he ( Dury) has a blunder by appointing Karna as the leader, he then says that Drona is very important for his side, Shakuni says that Karna is a person who follows Dharma and hence he cannot attain victory, Duryodhana says that why is he ( Shakuni ) thinking about Dharma & Adharma, Shakuni proceeds to say that his defintion of Dharma & Adharma is different, what benefits him is Dharma - and what harms him is Adharma, Duryodhana angrily tells Shakuni that he doesn't cares what he ( Shakuni ) thinks - he just knows that only his friend Karna can kill the Pandavas. Ashwathama interefers and says that what proof does Karna has of his Samarthya, Duryodhana replies that Karna has done 4 Vijay Yatra's and is very capable, Ashwathama says that none of his Vijay Yatra inlcuded Arjuna, Duryodhana replies that he never got the chance to fight Arjuna, Ashwathama says that Karna's sole motive is killing Arjuna and not the Pandavas, he then says that Karna is a person of mindless vows ,and Karna will keep his vow till his death - who knows if tomorrow Karna gives a vow of not killing Pandavas, what will Duryodhana do then. Episode ends with Duryodhan's confused face.
Precap - Karna makes a grand entry on the battlefield with his chariot - Karna steps down from his chariot and rubs the dust of the battlefield on his face and gets ready to fight.
