After thinking about the episode, I realized what they showed seems to be a modern day POV ... All any of us could do if someone barged into our house and had a child at gunpoint would be to beg and plead on our knees (despite many of us protesting that we would go on the offense). There might be a brave soul ready to take a bullet in an attempt to save the child, but I would guess the vast majority of the population would do exactly what the StarPandavas did.
Now, I'm not sure if this was some sort of hidden message from the CVs or they lost their minds ... but turning 4 kshatriyas into modern day cowards, heck they even turned the StarKauravas into cowards by changing the entire point of that day's war into a torture contest of a youngster. Sigh ...

Dunno if it is a modern day POV. Even if you transfer the whole entire story into the new millennium, these are not run-of-the-mill folks. The situation was not run-of-the-mill home invasion either. It was a suicide mission as someone called it and both Yudhi and Abhi knew it. Abhi was successful in the epic. Here he is just committing suicide, without a mission in mind

Do the CVs not visit pages of various social networking sites?
Do they not visit India Forums?
Do they not read our comments and opinions?
Do, none of the actors, directors...the CVs...do none of them actually know what we think of their serial?
Yes, the actors are good-looking and decent, the background music and songs are amazing, the jewellery are beautiful, and so are the sets...
But the story distortion is HORRIBLE.
Showing Arjun and Draupadi meeting before Swamvar is one thing. Bcoz their "love story" is not an important track in the whole epic.
But showing Abhimanyu getting killed in this manner?????????????
Duryodhan scolding and forcing Karna to kill Abhimanyu?
Drone and Karna crying after seeing Abhimnyu's killing?
Abhimanyu fighting like a child, whereas on the 13th day, in the epic, he fought like a God????????
And Karna crying over the kiiling of newly found "putra"???????
I understand that the CVs are HUGE fans of Karna, Arjun and Draupadi...especially Karna.
So, distorting a few facts here and there, is alright.
But these CVs have shown some things, which are completely opposite to wat actually happened in the epic.
They have shown Draupadi to be fiery, where she was needed to be cordial(like the way she talked to Karna at her Swamvar and also to Kunti and Gandhari during the dice game) and now showing her to be a Drama Queen, where she is needed to be fiery...
Arjun has been shown CRYING after hearing of Karna's Kavach being taken away...
Shown as the "hero" in almost every incident, where the other Pandavas should have been given more credit(Like Lakshagriha)...
Greeting Karna at Hastinapur...Lovingly...😕
But they have not shown his victory at Virat Yudhh, how he fought just before Bhishma's death...
And finally KARNA...
The CVs did not show Karna refusing the offer to the throne and repenting his words, which were the real glorious moments of Karna in the epic...
But instead, they are showing him crying after Lakshagriha, crying after Abhimanyu's killing, encouraging Duryodhan to accept 5-village negotiation, asking Duryodhan to not fight Arjun at Draupadi's Swamvar at all, accepting his "Sutaputra" status at the insistence of Mukut hater Vrushali, asking Duryodhan to respect Bhishma...Like really?????????
I am glad that they didn't show him crying at seeing Draupadi's Vastraharan!!
And Duryodhan and Shakuni...these are the 2 victims of the CVs...
Anything wrong happened in the epic...and the whole blame is put on these 2 characters...
Be it for Draupadi's Vastraharan or now Abhimanyu's killing...
The whitewashing of Karna, and blackwashing of Duryodhan and Shakuni...it's getting too much now...
And then, the Pandavas...
They are seriously painful to watch now...
They are crying on their knees...How irritating!!
The only thing I loved, was Lord Krishna's pain on feeling his nephew's pain...Well portrayed by SRJ...

Amrita I agree on most of your points dear but if this is whitewashing of karna then i really wish they had tainted him black coz from what i can see- Karna is one confused soul who cant make up his mind on things- Ofcourse he had these silent battles within himself.. But that doesnt mean that He would see Kunti in midst of Warfield reminding him of his nephew and his blood... What they are showing here- this man who is known to keep his words ..who fought for his friend against his own brothers..his own kin .. just getting cold feet and had to be specifically "reminded" of his kartavya... Well thats definately not white washing a character. thats not karna.. He wasnt this weak.. On Battlefield he was fire ..like someone said here before too if he had so much problems with dury...then probably CVs would have shown him joining pandavas..I would not have mind that much...- As you said they snatched his actual real conversation with Krishna which actually is one of his actual glory from the epic.
I think Creatives are just trying to add too many emotions into these episodes and thus Over of anything just makes it look ridiculously funny... it is not impactful at all...
for example- how many times did Krishna and Draupadi had same conversation of War outcome? And I am sure it will be repeated in future too...

Agreed.
I used "whitewashing Karna" in the sense, that he is being shown as someone, who was extremely loving and caring towards the Pandavas and family...
People who believe everything shown in this serial will think how "loving" Karna was towards his family, even after they insulted him so many times...
Instead of showing Karna so emotional, weak and loving, they should have shown the real Karna.
Yes, he spared the 4 Pandavas, but when he fought in the war, he fought like a lion.
No stupid visions of Kunti, or crying for little nephew.
This emotional, crying, weak, extremely kind, polite, down to earth portrayal is projecting Karna in the wrong light.
He was a proud man, and a proud warrior, with some great qualities, as well as some major flaws.
Why not show him like that?
Why add this extra emotional factor?
Showing Draupadi as a Drama Queen is still tolerable, bcoz she was a woman, and not a Maharathi or a warrior.
But showing a Maharathi like Karna having visions of Kunti, while fighting in the battlefield...

agree with both amrita and ritu

the problem here is CV's don't realize which are a character's true glorious moments and which are their true mistakes. So they keep interchanging the moments and confusing them and end up demeaning the characters where they actually require glory and white washing them where is not required

at end of the day who is happy are arjuna, karna or drauapdi fans happy with these distortions no none of them are

And regarding kauravas i really have loads of sympathy for them now because they are unnecessarily being villianized because CV's dont want to show any of panadavs including jeshtest karna making any mistakes

even in abhimanyu vadh the whole point of showing the vadh to be pre planned is because they dont want to show abhimanyu dying to save yudi. They dont want to show that yudi to save himself had sent a young boy with half knowledge into chakravayu so kauravas have to take the entire blame and hence the whole thing has to be pre planned thing of killing abhimanyu

the same thing they had done earlier during dyut sabha when they showed that yudi staked everything because he was forced due to some silly rules made by kauaravs which is not true kauaravs in no way forced yudi to stake anything he did whatever he did out of his own wish

Poor dury also has to take the blame of pre planning VH since they dont want to show karna's involvement in this

Blackwashing of kauravs is really getting irritating now

once earlier we had joked about how kunti has paid CV;s heavily for WWing of her and her sons.Seems true now may be gandhari should have followed the suit as well

Agreed Sabhayata.
Duryodhan and Shakuni have been made the biggest villains in history.
This has led many people to believe that Shakuni was a vile, wicked, wretched character, who made everyone else do horrible things.
But that is not how it was. Shakuni was not that bad. Yes, he was wicked and did take part in Duryodhan's deeds, but he was the mastermind always, like it has been shown in this serial.
And Duryodhan, too, was not sooo bad. Yes, he was a wicked and evil person, but not to this extent.
And yes, the Pandavas have been whitewashed too.
Yudisthir was shown participating in Keechak's plot, whereas in the epic, he asked Draupadi to endure everything, so that they are not exposed.
What kind of a husband says that? Especially, after that dice-game debacle.
The CVs did not have to put in their own opinion, in EVERY, important event.

Yudhishtir's case is the same as rest of his brother's where he actually deserved appreciation like the lakshgarah track where it was his intelligence, strategy and political astuteness that saves pandvas(along with vidur's) it was given away to arjuna

and where he actually deserved to be rebuked like keechaka track he was shown wanting to kill keechka

he is the in the same boat as his other two brother's karna and arjuna

i will not include Bhima in this.He has never been over glorified in any way infact most of his glory has always been taken away and distributed between his brother's

Nice to see people acknowledging the blatant distortions that is this serial. Instead of the field of action, Kurukshetra has become the field for a cry-fest where there is minimal action and far too many emotions running hither and tither. Its as if cvs are searching for excuses to inject more emotional drama, as if some characters were in shortage of sobbing esp. those that seem to always be steeped in tears even pre-war, as a matter of fact the whole epic has become an excuse for the self-delusional cvs to use the characters in such a manner so to beg for our pity, as they cry like a baby for our attention. Certainly this has been the superior form of expression of almost every major character that has been subjected to the ignoramus minds of the cvs. Granted sadness afflicted the characters but the excess sentimentalism that cloaks all the main characters makes me want to shake them from their pathetic self-pitying indulgent moping mentality.
